I took my GW9 to the range today.

At 5 yards.

Blazer 115 ball shot 2.5 inches in 5 shot groups.

S&B 115 ball shot an inch smaller 5 shot groups 1-1.5 inches.

Winchester PDX1 listed in the subject line would shoot no better than 6-10 inches.

Same gun, same grip, same sand bag rest.

What am I missing?

Because the gun was not in a Ransom Rest, I say it is "shooter error".
Sandbag shooting is subject to recoil changes in target impact.

Thanks. It was not shooter error. Switching between loads produced the same group disparity.

FWIW a 9mm Security Six and an older P-series 9MM (same bag, shooter, bench and target) shot 1-1.5" groups including the Winchester Defender.

This CW 9 appears to not like this load.

Anticipating the recoil? Flinching. It happens. PDX1 is good ammo, but maybe you need different ammo. Let someone else shoot a group to see if it's the gun or the gunner.

What are you trying to do, shoot small groups or stop an attacker with your concealed carry gun?

Welcome to the forum, Fish Springs! :) There is a wealth of valuable information in the New Member Area (http://kahrtalk.com/forumdisplay.php?f=56) and the Kahr-Tech (http://kahrtalk.com/forumdisplay.php?f=27) sections of the forum.

You are a better shooter than most of us here! :o It does sound like the gun doesn't shoot that ammo as accurately. Solution: don't use PDX1 ammo in that gun. :biggrin1:
