Hello everyone,

I just picked up my PM9 a few days ago and it seems like a pretty good little pistol.

I did have a few concerns with it however.

For one i did notice that sometimes when i rack the slide back the Firing Pin is protruding out a bit. I can push it back with my finger however this does not need right, or safe.

Also, the plastic "Rails" looks rough and un-finishedhttp://i1205.photobucket.com/albums/bb439/Essartee4/IMG_0390_zps484620a0.jpg

Oh and a pic or the rest:)

until the slide is cosed then the striker pin is retracted as the cocking cam will pull it back, so what ur seeing is normal.

the polymer rals are there to help guide te slide on only, they serve no purposee other than thqat. If u feel they look sh!ty just run soe 600+ grit paper over them and it will smooth them out. better yet after 200 rounds if there are any high spots on those polymer rails the slide action will smooth them out also. Ur gun is perfect. get out and shoot it .

Please do visit the kahr tech section and hit on soome great stickys.

Forgot to note i did put 100 rounds threw her so far. No failures of any kind. I did not read the prep for this firearm yet. Ill head there later.

"until the slide is cosed then the striker pin is retracted as the cocking cam will pull it back, so what ur seeing is normal."

So the firing pin showing is normal? It seems so wrong to rack in a round and see the pin poking out.

You have 32k rounds through your PM9

That builds some confidence right there. Did not seem like those tiny metal piece the slide rides on in the frame would last.

the slide is alltheway back atthat time it is just startingto rack in around. The striker is baqsically enertia fired and the only way it moves back is when the slide staqrts to retract the cocking cam grabsit and hold ts back in a very light precocked position, out of the way. It is totally drop safe. Glad the 100 rounds break in went well.

I would advise for sure to give the slide a through cleaning and the propper prep thread gives u some dandy cleaning tips that are fast and furious..

Probably best if you don't look at the muzzle end AFTER you "rack in a round!" "Jus sayin"
