I'll post one, but I need to find ammo!!! I got 20 rounds of semi wad cutter reloads with it, but I'll need more than that.

Check Walmart. I'm seeing 40S&W on their shelves more regularly now. Of course, it sells quickly, so timing is everything.

i've always liked the looks & feel of the Taurus, but after hearing stories with them i just could'nt get myself to pull the trigger (no pun) on buying 1.
i have also heard people having no problems with them, the ultimate decision maker is if you get it for the right price then it really does'nt matter.
congrats on the new rig, keep us posted on how it performs.

I picked up a 738 TCP 380 awhile back and it serves as my BUG. I paid less than $200 and picked up 2 more of the inexpensive mags. It has a smooth, light trigger similar to a Kahr, much better than the LCP or P3AT. And it has a slide lock lever and stays open after the last round, and neither of those guns have both features. Most folks seem to have great success with the gun. Mine had a couple of problems, so I contacted Taurus CS. They had FedEx pick it up at my door the next day, fully corrected the problems and had it back to me in 14 days. It is now performing flawlessly and I am very pleased with it.

I only had one problem with a Taurus PT92 I once owned. I sent it back to Taurus and they quickly fixed the problem-an extractor issue. Overall I think that they are good to go.

The gun pictured is one of the ugliest guns I have seen and also bulky. I'm having having a hard time reading the "like" posts.

This is a 3rd gen Millennium made in 2010 and put on lay-a-way on 12/20 2010 and picked up on 1/31/2011. The original owner paid 409.99 + tax. I have all the receipts and payment records. I paid $300 for the gun + 20 rounds, so I think I did OK. As for Taurus's quality, I had a 605 (.357 snubbie) that was flawless. I think most of the problems with the Millennium came in the first gen, and have gotten better with each generation.

It's not a beauty queen, but I like it, besides it's a tool. It may be a little on the plump side, but a Kahr won't hold 10+1 of .40 and take a 24/7 mag for 15+1 :p

yeah it was the semi auto's i was reffering to about hearing issues, i also had a .38 special snub that i had zero issue's with.
1 of my lgs stopped selling the taurus semi auto's due to the lack of customer service, this i was told was do to them taking forever to respond to the shop when getting repairs for customers.
like i said i've never had a 1rst hand experience with them, but i do like the fit & looks of the gun.
it helps when you hear positive feedback on things that you've heard negative about, as for the price i agree i think you did good specially if it still looks new.

I took the Millennium for a quick range trip today. I didn't take any paper, but I used my Big Gong Show @ about 25-30Ft to test functionality and she did just fine!!! The recoil was a little stronger than I anticipated, but not bad.

Here's a video for the target I use, good stuff :amflag:

I only put 40-45 rounds down range. In case you haven't heard, we're in the midst of an ammo shortage :(

That vid is just one I found (not saying my shootin' was any better)

I also liked the looks and feel of the Millenium. Then I bought one brand new. This is only my personal experience, but it was an utter hunk of scrap. Had a busted mag catch so it was dropping mags on every round, has some serious firing pin return spring issues, and just felt overall cheap and flimsy while shooting. I sent it back to Taurus, took 8 weeks to get back, and the mag catch still wasn't fixed. Taurus customer service was a nightmare to deal with. Sent it back a second time (they would not send me a new mag catch), and it returned without both of it's magazines they insisted I send. Finally got those back and sold the gun. Like I said this is my personal experience and that only. I think I will steer far from Taurus from now on.

A miss.. LOL.

I have one of those gongs that my youngest son bought me a couple of years ago as a gift. I've put hundred of rounds on it but I tell you, a .45 leaves a hole. It also moves the gong too.
