This thing looks awesome. Wish I had $2k to spend on it though :( Well I do, but I'd be buying it with borrowed money (student loans).

Don't you have to get the special class 3 permit to own a short barreled rifle like that? ... Oh, I see! The barrel IS long enough because it goes way back behind the trigger. Cool! Man, that would be a tactical tour-de-force!
Edit: Man, those shells eject just a fraction of an inch from his cheek when firing left handed! I'm a lefty. Hmm.

The ejected rounds sure come close to the left-handed shooters face! They bounce off the "buffer" on the aft end of the ejection port and bounce forward.
Neat bullpup, I wouldn't mind something like that in .308 NATO with about a 20" barrel. I want penetration!

Answered my own question. The gun is fully ambidextrous, so the ejection port can be put on the other side. Man, I'm liking this thing! :D

No! It just doesn't throw them in your face. Watch the slo-mo part of the video. That was what I just remarked on.

This is right from the website (http://www.iwi.us/tavor.html):
With the exception of a hand-specific locking bolt, the rifle is completely ambidextrous allowing for easy left-hand conversion of the operating handle, ejection port, fire-control safety, sling swivel receptacles and fore-mounted accessory Picatinny rail.

I've been lusting for one of these for quite awhile.
Google "srm 1216" to see another interesting firearm.....semi-auto 12 guage with 16 shell mag! I think this is what Joe Biden wants every household to get!!

Very interesting weapon.
I did nearly get a FN P2000 myself.
They seem to run around $2K as well.
The kicker is total cost of ownership.
When you consider mags and ammo the total price jumps dramatically.
I put a price point on my so called Assault Weapon at about $1K for that reason.
Finally settled on a Arsenal SLR-106U 5.56 pistol ($862).
She only weights ~5.5 lbs and has a crisp light pistol like trigger (feels like ~5 lbs).
Plus 19 Bulgarian Circle 10 mags ~$40 = $760.
And 1000 rounds of Lake City M855 = $699.
Equals $2321 total cost.
I've spent a lot more, I don't want to count, on boxes and boxes of high end 5.56/.223;
Hornady TAP T2, Silver State Armory TSX, Winchester Ranger Power Point.
So I really need to stop reading these threads.
BTW My Arsenal SLR-106U pistol is at the LGS for $1429.

A friend of mine liked bullpups until he fired one. While the barrel is long the end of it isn't very far from your face. Lots of muzzle blast and they are loud.

Just not a fan of the bullpup here. Any bullpup. Call me old fashioned I guess but I like wood and blued steel on my rifles and shotguns.
Clicked off about a minute into the video. Quite uninteresting/silly to me.
