Is it possible to install a PM9 blunt nose slide assembly on a newer PM9 frame without modifications?

On the frame, yes, as the frames are the same, only the slide, barrel and recoil spring assembly changed.

You may be able to get a new longer barrel in the shorter slide - depends how tight they fit the front (allowing the barrel to tilt and be inserted). Shorter barrels may work in the longer slide - depending on fitting - but not work well. The recoil spring assembly must match the slide - as the lengths vary.
