for that price, IMO they are pretty proud of that cw45. I doubt if resale value would increase a dime. Just sayin

Usually a substantial difference between MSRP and street price.
I do know that you have to have a dealer contact Lew Horton for pricing, their policy is not to give prices to non FFL's.
Very nice people, don't misunderstand me, they just have policies to follow.
I hate myself for not remembering his name but the fella I contacted was just a swell guy. Very nice to email with (deaf) just couldn't quote me a figure.
I was hankering for one of those Presentation Grade AO 1911's at the time.

Wow I like it a LOT! Be perfect for semi formal barbecues.
I think it's tastefully done but not over done, well maybe just a tad over done but not bad.
I could easily see myself carrying that with pride. Also excellent for Sunday go to meetin events. Hell I'd carry it every day.
I haven't been paying much attention, did they change the right side grip access panel. Looks different to me.

It would have looked much nicer on the cw9 or certqinly on the ultra classy PMJ( dlc finish version. Why they picked the 45s is probalby that they had a semi load of them UNSOLD and was willing to try anything to sell um. Just my 21 ents on that. I could be off a tad, might be a box truck instead of a semi. Just sayin
I do think colonel it is out of ur class anyway u look at it..

The font looks like a cartoon! Maybe it would be alright without the font, just stars and stripes.

I don't think so. Is it different from your PM40? It looks pretty much identical to mine, which are about two years old.

Probably just a pigment of my interrogation. I just have a PM45 and seldom really look at that area so not sure what I was basing my concern on. The 2 K models of course don't have that at all.
Probably what I base a lot of my concerns on, not much.
That's a pretty pair right there.

"All American" is a right proper name for a Kahr pistol chambered in the quintessential American auto-loading pistol cartridge .
Nice that they put a night sight on it.:)

Damn Greg, if Jocko gets out his dictionary and looks up quintessential we're both gonna be in trouble. He's fond of them itty bitty skeeter bite bullets.
Very well said though, very fitting. I'm burning my FFL's contact information. Must use restraint.
Didn't even notice the night sight, your good.
Almost looks like it got a little bit of a melt job with the engraving and polishing especially up on the nose. I like it.

I know what that word means colonel. quin-essential. that was doctor Quins little brothers name. I wasn't born yesterday u know. Now I think she quit the medical profession and is now selling jewelery out the trunk of her car.
It's still a 45, ,a pig by any utter name is still a sow u know... I think Gregg seen that word also on the back of a wheaties box. Just sayin

Lew Horton has a history of buying weapons in bulk and then doing an in-house custom job. I am not aware of many if any of there special runs being good collectors pieces.
IIRC Horton only give prices to "special" FFL's. Not every FFL is equal in their eyes. Remember the "good ole boys network" at work here. A bit over the top for me.

I could of course be mistaken but Lew Hortons is a distributor. I'm not sure they do any modifications at all.
The couple items I checked on before were fancied up by the manufacturer and sold exclusively through Lew Hortons.
My out of his house small time FFL had no problem getting me a price. There may be a favored price list and an everybody else price list but he got a price.

also LewHorton is no small time distributor either. They could have had this work done by an outside vendor. I wannto think had kahr did it , then why not offer it themselves, no doubt they could sell all 5 of them they had done up that way. Just sayin

I'm thinking, God forbid you have to pull this gem on a BG, that the BG will do a double take thinking "Damn that's a mighty nice pistol I am about to have my picture taken with".
You know, every sub-second counts. Just you don't be admiring it as you draw it.

If they had the model deliver it, personally, they could sell a bunch of them.

I'm sure some would gripe about return shipping of the model. Personally I'd pay asking price and not send her back, not sure how the missus or my cyber brides would react to that but whats life without a little adventure.

the BG realizes it is only a 45 , so no big deal of getting hurt, as most BG can out run a 45. Just sayin.
Now a 9mm is a whole different story:Amflag2:

You guys didn't have the girl above deliver your Kahr? My bad. No one told me I had to ship her back. Not gonna do it either.
Gotta go, she wants me to reload now...

I have it from a reliable authority that there are actually 2 Lew Horton CW45's available. The one pictured and a second version not quite so fancy but has a Gadsdon snake engraved on the top of the slide. Whatever that is. I don't have a good picture yet. May show up better on Lew Horton's site eventually. I'm told they are selling quickly and there were only 200 of each version produced.
If you want one (I do of course) best not delay. You have to have your dealer contact Lew Horton and they will make it happen.
If they happen to offer a buy one, get one free I'm your man.

DO U KNOW IF THIS IS A PROJECT THAT lEW hORTON UNDERTOOK THEMSELVES AND OTHER THAN THE 45'S PROVIDED TO THEM BY KAHR, hORTON has had all the engravingt stuff done by afdter market people and nort by Kahr.

I think Kahr builds them and engraves or contracts it out. I think Lew Horton just sells them.
I'll try to find out about that.

Well that member here that did those 911 memorials could probably do it for you.
I'm trying to remember who he is. Laser engraved.
I'd do it for ya but all I have is my vibro marker dealy hymer and the results might be just a tad lacking. I'm sure up for giving it a go if you wish. If it comes out looking more like a unicorn than a horse, not my fault ya know.

The snake is from the Gadsen flag:

The only photo I can find of it on the Horton CW45 is not a very good one (the snake is on top of the slide between the ejection port and the rear sight):

Well that's better than I could find. They did say it was a little less fancy.
Thanks for the info on the flag too, Gadsen meant absolutely nothing to me.
I sure learn alot from you GB, if we got enough time I could end up semi smart some day.
