Just picked up a new flashlight. It's a Nitecore MT26......has a whopping 800 lumens. Got it off of ebay for $49.95 free shipping. It's very bright. Runs on only 2 CR123 batteries. I really like it.

damn near looks like my Fenix PD31 which was recommended to me by the colonel and that sucker is brighter than hell and it is 304 lumes, and damn it gets hot when on high lumens. I can't imagine 800 lumens.

Mine runs on two cr123 batteries and they sure seem to last a lonng time..

WOW 800 lumens......should last about 10 minutes before needing new batteries! Let us know how batteries hold up?

It'll run in turbo mode (that's full power Jocko) for 1hr 40 min. with the cr123 batteries. If I put in 1 18650 it will run for 2 hrs.

I also have a Fenix PD31 and a Powertac Cadet.. I'm putting up a photo so you can see the difference in size.

do you guys use rechargeables in those things?
I use my flashlights around the house quite a bit at night when I'm "airing out the dog" (get your head out... I'm referring to my trusty dobie)

I like that it has a "HOT" warning on it. Thought only my toaster needed that.

a reasonable long time. My Fenix would e very ot in tha amount of time I can guaranteeu that. I guess there is no way to get allthis power (lumes) and not have some heat with it. It is indeed smaller than I though from the initial photol. Nice lite, good buy for the price.:Amflag2:

I never use a light. I do some of my best work in the dark. :)

Nice light. 800 lumens of Turbo mode can be used for heating rations or boiling water.
