Well, I did it.....I love my steel Kahrs but I wanted to add a summer gun to my collection. It is hot here in Texas so I wanted something that I might be able to pocket carry....

I told myself that if I ever found a black one with night sights that I would buy it. I came really close to buying a PMJ9 snub nose Jocko version. But I ended up getting a brand new one instead.

I love this little gun. I immediately I took this baby to range. I put 215 rounds of all kinds of ammo though it, from FMJ to self defense. About 8 different types. I could not believe this thing ran flawlessly! Not even a single stove pipe.

That is beautiful! And you got your money's worth, IMO. The night sights, polygonal rifled barrel and DLC finish make it so.

You know, we are some smart people on this forum! The PM/CM guns from Kahr are absolutely the best CC weapons on the market! Bar none! And the P/CW guns are a close second. The all steel guns are works of art!

I like the 9mm. Totally up to the task in a concealed weapon. The snappy 40 doesn't appeal to me, especially in such a small gun. The 45 would probably be more pleasant to shoot, but you lose a round. I might be tempted by the CM45 at a bargain price when they arrive, though!

LOL! It takes an independent, sharp mind to break free from the Toyota Camry mentality (you know, most popular so must be better) and go for the Ultimate Driver's Machine. Choosing a Kahr pays off in a similar way when you handle and fire one, experiencing that smooth trigger!

If they work, they ARE the best CC guns. If they have trigger-reset issues and/or feeding or slide lock or mag-drop or broken-follower issues (as a seemingly disproportionate do COMPARED to similarly priced and cheaper guns), then it takes a trip back to Kahr (or a few) to get them good.
Glad you got a good one. If I could guarantee that I'd get a good one--and not have to spend more than the first $90 on ammo reliability testing/break-in--I'd buy one Monday morning.
But all you have to do is read the PM/CM forum here to see that there are issues; after 7-8 years of production (at least, I got my first like 7-8 years ago), I think 99.925% of guns and mags/followers should be perfect--but my Gunstore friends tell me a different story.
Have they upgraded anything on the PM9 in the last 3-4 years? I know they have the new "non-chariot" extended mags.
I've owned a great P9 and an eventually fixed PM9.

I have to agree. Not all of us had a happy initial experience with Kahr. My CM9 works fine now, but its failure to perform right out of the box and weeks of fixes, hundreds of rounds of test-firing/break-in and buyer's remorse, leave me offering two cheers rather than three for the gun and the manufacturer.

Spot On... I bought one, never another one.
I would not be surprised to see a class action lawsuit come up, especially if it failed to fire during a life and death situation...

Wow...I never would have dreamed that my excitement towards my new gun would turn into so many disgruntled grumblings...

I personally love mine and after a few more rounds, I know I can trust my life with it.

I want to practice a little more with it first and get used to the size. I definitely trust it not to fail, I just want to trust myself shooting it.

+1 to that...The trigger is quite unique and very smooth...But I must also get used to forgetting I have the pistol until I check to see if I have it...Great carry piece and I love it...Almost paid off my CW45 for a winter carry piece...
