Happy to report my first range day with the new P380 was fantastic. Not a single failure of any kind. Went through the following ammo:
100 rounds AE380 95 FMJ
50 Rounds Aguilla 90 Hollow Points
25 Remington 102 Golden Sabre
25 Winchester 95 Ranger T-series
The AE FMJ fed like butter. Super practice ammo. Grouping at less that 2 inches at 21 feet.
The Aguilla ran perfectily, but I would not use them for SD since they seem inconsistant. They all fed and fired perfectly but my groupings were the worst with these for some reason. Groupings 3-4 inches and always a flyer. I just shot these because a friend had a box he gave me since he got rid of his 380.
The Golden sabres were simply fantastic. Fed like butter, super consistant and groupings within 1.5-2 inches. This will be my SD ammo of choice for this gun.
The Ranger T-series seemed to have a hard time feeding but never jammed the gun. I could slingshot all the other ones but these only fed the first one if I used the slide release. Seemed a stout load with the strongest percieved recoil. Grouped very well at 2 inches.
Overal,l I love this little gun. What a jewel. I was shocked at how well it shot. In fact my buddies all were amazed that such a small weapon can be so accurate. Simply fantastic pistol. Now I want to try some Hornaday Critical defense as well.

Buffalo Bore makes a hot "+P" round in .380. It has a definite "wow factor" when you shoot it. Sounds/feels like a hot 9mm round. You would probably have to get it from their website.
I've also heard a lot of good things about Underwood .380 +P as well. I just love their rounds in .38 Special, .357, 9MM, and .45. I haven't been able to get any of their .380, but I really want some.
Either of those +P .380 rounds will make you feel a lot less 'undergunned' than otherwise.
I totally agree that the P380 is a wonderful and accurate little pistol. I expected it to be because I already had a PM9 and PM45 and knew how good Kahr's are.
And BTW...welcome to KahrTalk! Best forum on the net.

Good report on an exceptional weapon. My 6 month old P380 ( nearly 700 rounds down the pipe) sizzles. A few ammo issues, but that's to be expected with all little pocket rockets.

Congrats on a great first trip to the range. I found the Ranger T to be about the mildest SD load. I carry BB +P as pictured in my Avatar and at my album here. After a member tested Underwood's +P load using 90-grain Gold Dot bullets, I bought 5 boxes of theirs at less than $30 a box of 50. They are pretty stout and the bullets are the bonded Gold Dots by Speer.
It seems that sometimes the P380's get a little dirty and have FTF's after 60-80 rounds or so... not always, but it might happen.

I enjoy the same results with Remington Golden Saber in my P380. It a good SD round for the .380.

Thanks but I do not shoot anything +P in any of my guns. I had a bad experience with a +P 9MM case blowout and will just not do it again. No reason to punish the equipment either with the hot loads. If a regular SD load can't do it than I have bigger problems. Just my choice. I am glad you are happy with the BB +P.

a shame u had a bad experience with +P, for what happened to you could have happened with any round u ever fired. No doubt it was a bad load, which is sumpin that any round could have happen to it. IMO ur truly missing out on some damn good 9mm ammo selection, and ur certainly ain't gonna punish any modern gun today. Just my 21 cents, its ur call to make and u gave ur reasons.
I just disagree..
