I was just playing around with my new PM9 and tried several mag base plates. As you can see, I am just having fun with my new toy.

Has anyone used the A&G grip extenders on a PM9 or a P9? I bought a set and they do not seem flush with the gun. I know the mags pull into the gun when shooting, so I am worried about pinching! Curious if it does.

Also, does anyone use the 9-7 baseplate on 6 round mag? I like the look but does extend handle a little. I just liked the all black on my all black DLC gun. I noticed that it does not have a gap. Will the mag function properly since it does not have the gap. When it is on, the mag has to be pushed down really hard into the gun to make it catch.

Any thoughts would be appreciated. Thanks for answering my crazy questions.

the gun should function fine without the gap. ive heard of a lot of ppl, inluding me, that have put a rubber O ring on the mage to take up the gap between the metal baseplate and the gun and they still function flawlessly

Most who put the polymer base on the 6-round PM9 mags have to remove a little material from the top of the magazine base. Simply put a sheet of fine sandpaper on the table and make a few even passes and check for fit. SOME gap is needed so the magazine can be pushed up with a full load and the slide forward... the way we carry for magazine capacity +1 carry. There HAS to be some play for the magazine to be securely inserted and retained.
For the P9, I switched to metal bases and had to add a 3/32" diameter 3/4" inner diameter neoprene plumbing O-ring. I did this first on my P40 and the gap causes pinching, so I added an O-ring. A 1/8" one was too fat and wouldn't allow proper lockup and release. I don't like the plastic not-so-flush-fitting bases and the slight decrease in grip length aids in concealability.
