A relative of ours by marriage, who immigrated from Albania to Canada, posted that story on Facebook and said, "It is very sad that Americans still don't get it that owning a gun does not make you safer."

I was tempted to post a link to the thousands of self-defense cases every year, but I'm not sure it's worth it.
