Kahr owners/officials,
What may I ask are the key differences between the K9 and the T9. As a potential 1st time buyer of a Kahr, I have somewhat narrowed it down between the two.
I know that they both house 9mm, with the T having 8+1 in the capacity compared to the K's lessor capacity.
Does the T9 have the same, patented slide/recoil assembly, or is that solely in the K9?
regards,
Eric

The main differences are in the barrel length, grip length and slide release retention spring. Most K9s have a longer trigger pull length than the T9, but the two may share the same trigger in cases were the K9 has the shorter trigger installed. The T9 comes with wood grips only, whereas the K9 may have polymer or wood. Otherwise the two are very similar. The general materials, construction and action are pretty much the same.
Here's a pic of the T9 and K9, along with their polymer twins P9 and TP9.

Great photo to compare the Kahr line to Ripley!
Pick the one that fit your hand and your pricepoint the best as all Kahrs shoot very much the same.
I have a CW40, a K9 and a P380. Other than size and recoil they shoot very much alike. My Son-in-law hates the recoil in the 40 but shoots it well (I don't thinks its bad at all, shrug). We both agree the P380 with SD loads is qiute snappy. The K9 is just sweet.
I hit the targets well with any of them. Good luck on the search. Let us know what you decide.

I have the K9 and the T9. If you are looking to conceal at all, I would suggest the K9. If it is mostly for the range, the T9 is good. Also, people with larger hands usually prefer my T9. My hands are average and I typically use the K9 more. I do love them both. Did I help or confuse you more?

Thanks Ripley, Planedude, and Phil, all your posted information is appreciated. Ripley I really appreciate the attached photo, along with their polymer twins.
Great support here; thanks!

As the Dark Horse of KahrTalk,
I'll confuse the issue and add I have a MK40 Elite.
I really believe the Elite option is well worth the money.
And would recommend you consider a K9 Elite.
I don't think the Elite option is available in T9?
That is all...

both great guns, but I would go witht eh K9 as my first buy..
the K9 was my first handgun, and it's still a favorite. can't go wrong with either though.

The K was my first purchase and the T was second. I carry my T IWB every day and have no problems with that. I love how they both shoot, but the T is just that much sweeter to me. You can't go wrong with either one.

I've only held one T, only one I ever saw in person at a gunshow. I held it a long long time, the table holder let me hold it.
It was magical, felt so perfect in hand.
I have 2 K's and they both feel great in hand but just shy of magical.
Some day if there are enough days there will be a T in my stable. I'd really love a T45 but that's probably just subconciously wanting to harass Jocko.

There you go with the T45 talk again. :). Every time you do, it makes me start lusting over a T45 or K45....the one I will probably never get to see or touch.....:o. Come on Kahr...we want one!!!!!

I'm in for a K45.
Maybe we can get a group buy going?
A special KahrTalk run for us Die Hards?
Could even have KahrTalk engraved on the slide.
A K45 Elite with NS please.
