I am considering the wolf 5# striker spring mod on my CW40. Any issues with misfires from light strikes? How difficult is it to change the spring? Any videos on changing spring? How much difference does it make? I would like to hear from those who have done this mod. Thanks for the help.

It's not terribly difficult. The little coat hanger deal to hold the striker down while removing the back plate is invaluable.

I was happy with the results on my PM45, I measured with a trigger scale before and after and while I don't remember the numbers they slightly improved immediately and got a little better with time.

I think my factory spring was on the light side so your improvement could vary.

OK, wrong again. That was it, just read thru the post prior to going to the link in the first post.

It will explain the coat hanger tool and some of the other stuff.

As far as I know, we've had NO reports of any problems with the operation of Kahrs with the 5-lb spring. I bought a 3-pack from Wolff, then I bought a 10-pack and put them in all of my Kahrs... now down to 6 from 7, since I found a new home for my redundant P380... Wifey couldn't operate the slide.

I like the 5# striker spring, and with a heavier recoil spring also.

striker spring is not considered "light". I think glocks come standard with 5# even. fearnot, it ain't gonna give u issues, so just shoot it likeu stole it. I got it in my K9 and PMJ9 and it has over 30K rounds thorugh it witht he same 5# spring n it.
