Missouri Highway Patrol gave the Feds the List of firearm permit holders.

Sounds like they want to revoke CCWs from anyone on SS disability for mental issues. No adjudication, no crime committed, nothing.
Seems like MO would be the one asking for a list of Missouri residents receiving disability, since they're the ones issuing CCW licenses.
First they came for the anxiety patients. I haven't visited a doctor, so I said nothing.
Then they came for the disability income recipients. I wasn't on welfare, so I did nothing...

Someone in the Highway Patrol needs to go to jail for that.

Yeah, I am a little upset about them doing that...but the nice thing I can fall back on is that it wasn't necessarily "Missouri" that did that....it was a rouge Highway Patrol Colonel (is what I heard) and they are investigating just WTF he was doing....
Honestly, I really don't like the fact they did it, but I'm at least taking some comfort, for now, in the fact it is being investigated and not taken lightly by the state government. Maybe we can get a class action lawsuit against the HP for privacy violations, like we could any company that did that, and get enough cash to buy new guns with it :D

Might as well, it's your money to start with. Kind of like sueing yourself.
That's what I hate about insurance. People don't realize they are paying for the huge settlements in the first place. Insurance companies are in business to make money and lots of it, nothing else.
Are you in good hands?

What he said, when you approach a US city, any city, pick out the tallest buildings in the skyline...all owned by insurance companies, if not ins, it'll be a bank building.
When you add your name to a list, held by anyone in goverment, know that it can/will be used against you in some way at sometime.

Glad I left MO for TX when I did!
Practices such as these give me anxiety.
Now they may take my guns away.

This is the beginning. Wait for the investigation. That Colonel got paid for that list. The left will do anything, corrupt anyone to get their way.

Think of it this way (playing devil's advocate):
We have all been saying mental illness is THE problem with recent mass killings, and rightfully so. Well, here is an agency that is, supposedly, trying to connect the dots between those receiving benefits for being mentally ill and that have a CCW. Hate to say it but this is what we've been asking for.
On the other hand, why is MO the only state that has provided information to the Feds along these lines? Are we sure MO really is the only state that did this or is this just the tip of the ice berg???

Nah...that was one of them there sorta fake cop colonels. Not like 'twas a real one. Buck up there and wear them eagles proudly.

AJ, my problem is that the flow of information is in the wrong direction. If anything add a mental health flag to the nics list. Give the list of cwl to the Feds? No way!
