View Full Version : Would like Crimson Trace feedback
I'm considering a Crimson Trace (LG-437) for my CW9 and am looking for some feedback. At the moment, it's not my carry but may be, in time. I'm interested in it mainly for home defense.

I lot of people don't like them. I do. I have one on my PM9. I also have Crimson Trace laser grips on my K9, MK40, and my Sig P229. Like I said, I like them.

My son gave my wife and I a CT for our CW9. We love it! It made a GREAT gun Better. Just showing the laser to an intruder would scare him off, I'm thinking. This gun is on my night stand every night.

I'd use em all day long on my h.d. pistol.no logical reason not to.sight them in right & heaven forbid you find yourself rolling around with an intruder, just look for the dot.my vote is use them
Love them! Have one on the P380 and looking for a deal to get one on my P45

Its a quality product.Batteries for life.I love mine but I got it for $75.If you are going to carry it I recommend the mitch rosen outer waistband holster. It is very comfortable and rides high and tight to the body.Perfect setup in my opinion.

Ever consider the lasermax guiderod lasers? IDK if they have them for Kahrs, but it's worth a shot. No need to adjust.
They are quite pricey IIRC.
I've already ordered the CT for my wifes wheelgun (since nothing says "I love you" like accessories for your weapon) but you all have convinced me to order one (or request one for Father's Day) for my CW9. Thanks for the feedback!

I have a Crimsontrace laser for my P380 and it works good. I've only shot with it a couple times, but I am able to get 3-4 inch groups at 10 yards.
Is it worth $200? Don't know, but its nice to know I can shoot faster and more accurate in a low light situation.
... its nice to know I can shoot faster and more accurate in a low light situation.
And that was my wife's reasoning when she asked for a laser after she decided on her Taurus wheelgun. If my wife is asking for shooting gear, I'll get that for her as quickly as I do when she asks for fishing gear. Nothing like a woman that wants to shoot and fish almost as much as I do.
As far as wanting the CT for my CW9, well, besides the functionality, it's more toys...

So why IWB fits the cw9 with the CT?

I had one on my CW45 before I sold it, kept the laser as was going to replace it with a CM45. And thanks to one of the members I have a set of laser grips for my Springfield 1911. I think they are a valuable tool. One of my favorite things to do is unload the pistol, and walk around the house and "point shoot" different objects, then hit the laser button to see how close I would have been. Much of the time the object I'm pointing at has the laser dot on it these days. Anything that will give you an edge in a gun fight, I'm all for. Crimson Trace has some good videos on different ways it can be used to get a shot off while remaining under cover.

i don't have one on my kahr but i do on my xdm and love it. now the only reason i even have one is because i bought it off my buddy who couldn't hit sheet with it and sold it to me for $80. otherwise i'd never pay the shelve $$ they want for them.

We put one on my wife's CW40 and she loves it. She has a bad case of left eye dominance but is right handed, so has a hard time with iron sights. Fit was perfect and the laser is visible even in full daylight.
I put a CT on my wife's wheelgun and it has me sold. I'll be ordering for my CW9 in short order.
