So, I went to the range today with a friend to wring out his new SIG, and my new/old Colt Trooper, and some other fine weaponry. We shot each others' guns, compared notes and had a great time.

After a while I pulled out my CM9 to check out how the new Hornady Critical Duty would run through it. It shot fine -- the thing is, I was more accurate with the little carry pistol than any of the other, larger pistols !! My buddy gave me a box of 9mm FMJ's and I could not stay out of the bullseye on the Shoot-n-See targets. He said he didn't understanad how I could shoot the little pistol like that -- I pretended that I knew ...

I have had my CM9 since they first came out, and it has been terrific -- it runs great, never fails and always reminds me how easy to shoot and accurate it is. Sounds like the perfect recipe for a carry pistol, doesn't it ? :)

It is the perfect recipe! I just got a PM9 recently which is practically the same gun. I think the PM9 and CM9 are the best carry gun on the market for accuracy and concealability.

I never tell people about my shooting skills either. Why give away trade secrets?????

course I will admit when people see my targets, they very seldom ever ask either. Just sayin:amflag: Sometimes a picutre is worth a thousand words.

Charlie,

I don't think I have ever officially inducted you into the CM9 Owners Club. So here is your club badge.

I got mine early June of 2011 and I shoot it well, too. The gun is just a natural shooter. Just feels right in the hand and points so well. IMO, it is the perfect CC weapon, bar none.

Hey Jocko,

Based on your description of what your PM9 targets look like we are now assigning CharlieW as your new shooting coach. :)

You'll get used to it eventually.

The early Romans knew this phenomena as shootist harmonius. It occurs when the shooter and his gun are a perfect match for each other. I myself have been blessed with this conjunction with all but the largest of magnum revolvers. With these guns I suffer from magnus flinchitis and my groups go to Hell. :)

Yeah, my PM9 gave me the smallest group I've ever shot (with iron sights)--I was shooting at the tab (about 1" square) ripped of the side of a box of Corbon Pow-R-Ball), and 4 shots were all touching...I chickened out and stopped there. I knew that fifth shot would fly somewhere. ;o)
I'd never shot that good with any of my bigger guns (I usually shoot 9"-14" groups at 25Y, and actually questioned whether all the gun-mag and online people were lying about all their 2" offhand groups). My friend explained it as "aim small, shoot small."

I was actually more surprised than my buddy was, I just wouldn't admit it
