I've been looking trying to find out details of what is being pushed through but all I'm seeing is a bs name game of who voted for what and no details on the matter....

does anyone have a link to info on this? Tried googling, didn't find much.

thanks and sorry if this has been discussed.

the house will introduce the Toomey-Manchin bill on Monday http://www.politico.com/story/2013/04/house-gun-control-bill-monday-peter-king-89991.html

The senate is working on the Toomey-Manchin and S.649.
649 is the result of the Obama mandates minus an Assault Weapons Ban: universal background checks, expansive definitions and severe penalties for straw buyers (gun trafficking), and federal funding for research to use agains law-abiding gun owners for future legislation.....

None of this is good and you can see analysis on most of it on my blog....

Please share the info and call your senators (phone messages have more impact than emails at this point). I publish phone numbers and also the senators who are up for reelection in 2014.

downtown that is supposedly an amendment that will be offered. I personally don't want to see this because my guess is they will stiffen up the requirements for getting a permit to make it palatable for some democrats.

S 147 common sense concealed firearms permit act seems to show exactly what I fear would be the case...

‘‘(C) demonstrate GOOD CAUSE for requesting a concealed firearm permit; and
‘‘(D) demonstrate that the applicant is worthy of the public trust to carry a concealed firearm in public.

Not in the T-M bill. It does require all states to allow motor vehicle transport of firearms by a traveler allowed to possess firearms through the state without arrest/detention/hinderance. A CCW permit becomes proof of a person's allowed to possess firearms status. Puts a stop to communist states sometime practice of detaining a person until they can be "checked out".

Well that's a step forward in my book.

Well that's a step forward in my book.

not. It will take the decisions out of the hands of states, or begin to. Once set in motion by this bill the fed as they always do will make further power grabs under the veil of the commerce clause. Don't by fooled and buy into this farce.
