I've been noticing several members have posted pictures of their Kahrs with polished slides and smoothed edges. I was wondering if this was something I could do myself, and if so, what's the best process?

Why would you want to? Only a New Orleans pimp would carry a shiny pistol. (You're about to hear an explosion from JFootin.) :)

New Orleans Pimps gotta eat too ya know.

I semi polished my PM45. Not nearly to the jfootin level but shiny.

I like JFootin's shiny Kahr. I may be wrong, but I'm pretty sure I have first right of refusal if he ever decides to sell it.

Whew, thanks for the clarification jfootin, I thought I did but my memory isn't what it used to be. Also my memory isn't what it used to be.

Don't worry RevRay, I got you covered, if anyone but me deserves that shiny other than jfootin of course on account of he already has it, it's you pal.

After your history making wait to exercise your constitutional rights you deserve many good things.

Also my wife is the queen of refusal when it comes to things that make me happy so 2nd place ain't all that bad in this particular instance.

I wasn't sure if anyone had ever yelled "shotgun" ... so I thought it was worth a try.

And thanks, Bawanna, it sounds like 2nd is not a bad spot. Though, with my wife, 3rd probably not a bad spot either.

And of course this is all on the premise that jfootin would ever part with it which I don't anticipate happening any time soon.

IE: Moot point. Wonder is I should call shot gun for 3rd spot just to be safe ya know?

Getting back to the purpose of this post, yes you can do it yourself. I tend to agree with Muggsy, why would you want to do it? I still prefer the deep blue on Smith & Wessons. As far as the polished Kahrs here I guess there are a few that like this look. I don't care for it, I do prefer a nice dull finish for the stainless look or the black on the others.

That's very pretty. Somebody ported the heck out of that thing. Looks like my son's Springer V12. A very pleasant 45 to shoot though, very soft but business like. Been trying to talk him out of it since he got it. Not happening.

I like the polished look myself. Seeing as I live in an open carry state, if I have it out there, I want it looking sharp. Not that Kahrs don't already. It's like buying a new truck and putting a nice set of wheels on it. Personalize it, make it fit my personality....or something like that

I like the different gun colors but not a shiny slide (that doesnt sound right)
