I went into the local sportsman's store here in town and the shelves were full of .45, .380, 38 special, and some other FMJ and defense ammo. Prices were about 4 dollars a box more than pre-panic but still a lot less than internet scalpers. Things may be getting better.
No 9mm FMJ or .22 ammo though.
Academy Sports and Walmart still get occasional shipments and prices there are pre-panic normal.
Yeah, as we approach our credit card limit, the buying begins to slow down. :D

Same here, one of the two gun stores has a bunch of ammo. I am ready for more range time.
Still slim pickins in North Georgia.

None. I was thinking about reloading and have lots of brass but there are no reloading components anywhere around here.

I went to the range Monday and they were low on range ammo. I still went ahead and used a box of their .40 S&W but they had none of the normal $16 AAA. I got a box of Independence using Blazer Brass for $24. They had that and PMC for .40... both for $23.95 a box. They did have lots of long guns, but the range ammo supply was really low. The time before that they told me that they could only get half of what they ordered. I guess things have gotten worse.

Walmart and Cabela's are the most shopped stores out there. I do better at the local shops. I took this pic at one recently.

I went back to that store today and bought more 9mm. I got back to work and a co-worker bought it from me. While I was at the store, I had to take a wiz. The bathroom is at the end of a long hall at the back of the store. I was surprised to see that the hall was full of stacks of ammo on both sides that was about 4 feet high. I snapped these pictures of the .223 and 9mm stacks.

All the ammo went to Utah. What do they want for it?

The .223 is the Federal American Eagle Tactical. It is $10.99 for a box of 20. I didn't buy any. I have lots of .223 and thought that was a bit high priced.
The 9mm is Blazer Brass for $14.99/50 rounds.

That is a little high but not the worse I have seen.

I'll take some .223! Heck I love federal, and at that price I can buy and pay shipping and still be cheaper than what most places want for steel case wolf. I wish that store would ship

Saw wolf 223 today for $20 a box!! Saw 9mm for $34.99 and $36.99 for 50.
However, we did luck out at walmart and found box of 100 federal for $24.99. I think it's great that Walmart has tried to hold their prices down on what they do get in.
Cokeman, those photos look like heaven!!!!!!!

That's one very well stocked gun shop cokeman, I'd love to wander through that for entertainment purposes.

Although firearms prices were crazy at the local gun show there were plenty of AR/AKs.
LGS seems to be restocking in firearms and ammo as well.
Prices do appear to be coming back down.
I expect with the latest failure to pass any meaningful gun control legislation.
We may see things return to some state of normalcy by the Summer or Fall.
I wait and watch...
My LGS had 500 rounds of .223 for $299.
Not great, but promising.
I'm currently well stocked, but unwilling to shoot what I've got.

Here in NE Ohio the guys at Wally and Gander look like you are stupid if you even ask. Their loss. However, we have some regional outfitters that have ammo. I was able to pick up a couple federal value packs of 22lr, a lot of 40sw (Wynn - I finally found some of that PMC to try - thanks) + 100 rds of 9mm. There are quantity limits on everything but at least I didn't blank.
P.S. I can tell it's spring. The dog has dead animal breath.

Found .223/5.56 penetrator ammo online for $13-$14 along with AR uppers and parts. things are looking better.
It's still not $5 a box yet though.

Okay, Someone at that store who is in charge of ordering ammo has a photograph of someone who allocates ammo giving some love to a sheep.

The big G - good store - they seem to be able to stay ahead of the curve. Nice to see boxes on shelves.

I can't believe what I saw put out yesterday and today where I work. Bulk .22lr, 2100 rounds, in a dry box, for $99.99!!!
Federal hollow points. I don't need them but others really seem to. They never made it off the pallet and on to the shelves.

Still pretty dry in Mid Michigan. As soon as it hits the shelves guys are on their cell phones and it disappears quickly. Usually before they close they're sold out. The paranoia and shortage feeds more paranoia. I read somewhere it is due to tighter shipping restrictions on ammo and powder in shipping containers. Not sure if theres any truth to it, but man! I just want to get back to the range.

It ain't just ammo! Lee is back logged even for bullet moulds and lead ingots are well over $1 a pound on eBay. Let alone trying to find primers.

Yeah ammo is coming back, it's a matter of luck being the guy who get's it, though.
Midwayusa just shipped me a case of CCI Blazer 9mm I had on backorder since December, for $218+shipping. Happy camper, going to have some fun shooting this weekend.
