Finally get to pick up my MK9 tomorrow.............waiting periods suck. Probably start the break in period Thursday. Up here, the saying is..." If you don't like the weather, wait a minute." I shoot outdoors, and right now, it's 38 degrees, down from 50........raining......supposed to be rain snow, a bit farther north........by Thurs, it's supposed to be 60's thru the weekend, with 70 on Sun....... I am a Beretta person by heart, and I carry a Bodyguard, but I really want to like this firearm, and I felt that I had to bump up my firepower......... Looks wise, feel, all good so far.....just hope I don't have the problems that I read about. I shoot at an ourdoor range/club for $75 a year.......from what I read, I may be one of the lucky ones.....................................

Use higher velocity loads on your first 200. Light range ammo or reloads will cause stove pipes and failure to ejects. I have a MK9 w/wood and a CM9. Don't worry, you will like the gun.

You will definitely love the MK9. I guess they are more available now. They are a great little shooter.

Took it to the range today..........150 rds. Fiocchi 115 gr....ran like a machine.....switched to Blazer Brass 115 gr..............3 FTE's in the first 18 rds., then good from then on for another 32 rds.................may have been me limping a little, the Blazer's seemed a bit tamer. All in all, a good showing for the MK........................very smooth, like the trigger.

It only gets better from here...as soon as you get that baby broken in, you will be inseparable.

if they use the instant background check why are they making you wait a period?

It's a good question..........you'd have to ask our lawmakers up here.....

I think the waiting period is a cooling down period for people that may be thinking about buying a gun quickly so they can either commit suicide, murder or some other irrational deed and the theory is if you have to wait you may change your mind. Really, that's what it is for.......

in the words of homer j simpson when he was told he had to wait to get the gun he bought..."aw, but i'm mad now".
