My New PM45 Finally Arrived!

It's been at the PO since last Wed. The dealer opened today at 10:00am, I called at 10:01, and was told there was only 1 employee in the store and he couldn't get to the PO to pick up the gun. To say I was fuming :32: is to understate my feelings. He said he'd call me when it was in the store. I waited :spider: and waited :spider:and waited:spider:until 3:00. I called the store again and was told no one could get to the PO because the owner hadn't come in and he had the PO key. JC, I said can't you get to the PO and ask them to give you the mail? He said he'd call the PO and let me know....he'll call me back. At 4:15 I called again and was told a bookkeeper was on her way to the PO to pick up the gun...he'll call me when it gets there. Finally at 4:50 he called, the gun is there. Thank God I didn't have a fast vehicle or I would have set a land speed record getting to the dealer. It's now in daddy's hand and I'm caressing her fondly. Or am I fondling her? Either way she's here and she's a beauty. Bitone with N/S. Smaller than I thought she'd be, yet so powerful. I can't wait to tickle her trigger with a live round. Pictures and a range report forthcoming.

Double ditto on the congrats. I'm soooooo happy for ya. I can't imagine what you've gone thru waiting and getting jerked around. Glad the wait is over. I wish you all good things on your first range rondevous.

Go to the tech section and look for Jocko's prepping your new Kahr. Step by step instructions on care and preparation for bringing your new baby to the range for the first time. Saves alot of heartache.

Hey, I found a better picture without the lined background that was meant to be a screen saver or desktop background. Somebody limited the avatar size to only 80 by 80 pixels, so that's the best I can do. This wound up at 60 by 80 pixels. I think it's such a kicka$$ picture!

Disregard the jesting about sending it back. This is mainly about the Kahr .45's, but other guns have lacked the "Notch" and the gap or beveled stripper. My .380 had a small bevel on the stripper and no notch. It seems the notch isn't on the .380's, but I HAVE thought about adding one.:) I did add one to my K9 because I saw the thin material between the recoil spring assembly receptacle and the barrel opening in the front of the slide. That area had tiny nicks like the ones reported in the first PM45 with problems here. I notched that area with a round file and my "Dremel-like" tool and then polished it a bit.
The big problem I had with MY P380 was the damaged night sights. The front one was dead and the rear badly marred. I also had some sharp areas on the barrel hood. Kahr replaced only the front sight and polished the barrel. I didn't even shoot it but sent it back the next day. Ian had FedEx pick it up. I had it less than a day.
When I got it back I shot 150 rounds of Aguila and 50 of Buffalo Bore 90-gr JHP +P. I had some failures to feed but the gun shot great. I put it second after my PM45 for my accuracy shooting it. The PM9 comes in third and I need to try it some more.

Ok, I'm ashamed to admit that I don't know who they are but I'm sure if your infatuated they must be a good thing. I'll have to look em up when I find the time. Another thing to drive me crazy with jealousy.

I haven't tried to find any other, but I'm sure there are a lot out there... like Angelina Jolie with the two Desert Eagles.:rolleyes:
