I contacted Ian through e-mail yesterday and asked it he would exchange my 6 round magazine (which I found unreliable in my PM 40 as per my previous range report post) for a flush fit 5 round and he said "no problem".

I am going to send it to them tomorrow.

So far I am very impressed with my whole Kahr experience.

I wrote Kahr today and asked about a magazine exchange and was told it they "cannot" do it. Further, Jay told me that if I had FTF issues with it to change my grip. I don't think I'll have any FTF issues because I don't trust it so I'm not using it. I wish I had the same experience as you.

I wouldn't give up so easy. I'd use Olympics experience as fuel to make it happen for yourself. If writing isn't getting it done, go to the phone.
I'd certainly try everything you can and do what Jay suggested to make sure the magazine is the issue.
If it's the mag, go for the swap again. Describe your issues to them in detail, pictures if beneficial, if all else, ask for a pick up tag and send the whole gun back for inspection. If you don't trust it and dont carry it they might as well be making it right so you can.

I agree with Bawanna, call them and talk to someone in person, it is a lot harder to brush someone off when actually talking to them. Do not give up, remember like my father-in-law says, the squeaky wheel gets the grease.

The mags must work properly. I have 5 mags and all work perfectly. They all drop from the grip and they feed properly. I just don't understand why some guys have these problems????? I cleaned mine up good when I first received them. Then I gave them a light coat of SC Johnson paste wax on the inside and out and buffed them good with a soft cloth. I made sure the spring was installed correctly and DONE. I've never had one problem with any of them. Slick as can be. Whenever I clean my PM40, I always give the mag another light coat of paste wax and buff them good. Honestly, I think this makes the interaction of stainless and plactic components slide better on the inside and outside than oil does.

I'd be carrying on a fit if a mag would not drop when empty OR if there were any problems with it. Lives may depend on these components and they simply MUST perform reliably every single time. I would not take NO for an answer and any problem would get fixed pronto. Don't give up.
