Never installed sights before, and I just purchased a set of Dawson Front and Rear night sights for my CW9. The front looks easy but the rears sound like they may be a bit*h to knock out. The Dawson's did come with a tool, and I was wondering if that and a vise would be all I need to get the factory rear sight out? If it's going to big of a pain, I'm just going to return the Dawson rears.

Dawson has videos about installing sights (on a glock). I assume the "tool" Dawson supplied is their custom punch. Yes that plus a vise, hammer and files are all you should need. Kahr also has instructions on their website. Just click on any sight in the accessory area. I have heard that the Kahrs are a bear to get out. Plus the local gunsmith only wants $30 to install both on my k40. I was all set to do it myself but chickened out. Now if my sights would ever arrive... :2rolleyes:
Good luck.

I have installed hundreds of Dawsons and Heines on Glocks, but the Kahr is a whole different front configuration. It has a screw and a post, and I can allready see that screw has to clear the slide so the slide may have to be countersunk a little deeper. I'ff find out when I put them on my CW9....

All I had to do with the replacement front sight for my CW9 was to make sure that all of the plastic was removed. The screw fit perfectly and does not interfere with the barrel.
