Hello from Orlando/Central Florida. Just wanted to introduce myself!

Used to have a PM40 loved it, but had to sell it a year or 2 ago because I needed the cash. Purchased an XD9SC for concealed carry, but looking to go back to Kahr with the PM9.

Thanks for the welcome! Have already found a bunch of good info.

I would like to buy it new just so I know what the gun has been through, but would buy a used well kept problem-free pm9 as well.

I've been seeing new ones mostly in the 6-650 range, and used in the 450-550 range, so price range would be around those numbers.

Haven't really called my local gun shops cuz it seems like everytime I do call the prices are just up there in the clouds.

I bought a 2 tone with N/S for $667 delivered. Don't know what the DLC would cost.

If'n you want new and the best deal, try the Internet... Gunbroker.com and use their FFL dealer list to find a low-fee dealer near you to receive it. You'll find a decent price and won't have to pay tax. Your local dealer isn't necessarily a good deal 'cause he might want to charge you a higher fee than others to make up for the lost profit on your gun.
Oh, welcome to the forum. there's lots of info and help here. Do a search on the forum for loads of info or just ask.
I was borned in Tampa a looong time ago and left FL when I was about 7. My wife and I just moved to JAX from San Antonio 13 years ago yesterday. We're both retired USAF, but the Navy is great here.
Oops go to go finish cleaning up and watch TV with my wife.:o
Welcome, again to this great forum.

Just thought you might like to know I live in Cocoa Beach and our local dealer has a PM9 NIB with Stainless slide and standard sights for $495 and also a DLC with N/S for $685. Best prices I've seen new anywhere and only 45 minutes from your house. Oh and welcome to the Forum, great group of people here and one crazy banana hanging around.

Thank you! I actually grew up in Jax, and my parents still live there, dad is retired Navy, and mom still works @ the Naval Hospital.

I was thinking the same thing about getting one off the internet (just haven't bought one that way yet), been keeping an eye on gunbroker for the last few days. I'll have to check the shops up there when I get a chance to go back, picked up my xd from shooters on university for a good price back then.

Thanks for the welcome! I was just out at Playa Linda/Haulover yesterday fishing and thought about checking out the stores in the area, but only knew of B&H and they were closed when I finished. Which dealer might you be referring to? I work a half day tomorrow, and would go out there if it's in stock. Thanks again!

Only out of great respect for all of you, and I never said crazy. At least not on this post:D You know I think you guys are great. And by the way bawanna the Dremel and my barrel perfect match. It looks so good I was thinking of doing my G17 barrel as well, what do you think?

Small world sometimes! I live about 150 yards south of the Mill Cove part of THE River. I can see the Dames Point Bridge and ships on the river. I have a good view of the helicopters going to and from Blount Island where the marines have their port. I've seen the entire air complement of the 101st AB come through here on the way to GWII. We love the area... lots of waterways and low cost of living... kind of a lateral move from San Antonio financially.
While we don't have waterfront property now, that might change in the future. We're about 15 to 18 feet above sea level.:D

You got it right it's B&H for the DlC with n/s and the Gunsite for the stainless with standard sights which is right down the road as well. Good luck I'm going Friday to pick up a Remington 870 Express Tactical.

Trust me get the DLC with n/s. I bought the stainless with standard sights at first. Within one week I was trying to find a way to sell it to get the DLC with n/s. Do it right the first time and get the one with all the bells and whistles you won't regret it, I promise.

I was set on a standard stainless w/reg sights, but I have this strange feeling I'll leave with a DLC with n/s. Hehe

Nothing wrong with that either. I like the stainless and get along fine with the standard sights. I hope to put XS standard dots on someday anyhow. Main thing is avoid that buyer remorse like Jklantis there, we were all in the dumps there for a couple weeks while he got his desires squared away. I don't think we can go thru all that again this soon. Get what you really want. Pics and report when you get it, goes without saying.

Meh, I have a P45 with the stock finish and sights. No worries about it either. One preference that I have is stainless steel for a couple of reasons. In fact the only pistol I own that doesn't have a stainless, or nickeled finish is my 1911. I like that better anyway, but because I sweat like a pig in heat, and work with tons of water, and live in TX...it makes life a bit easier as well. I still have to oil and clean regualry (yes stainless WILL rust too).

I'm sorry you guys had to put up with my whining for a little while, but I am glad I had all of you to bounce my thoughts off of. But I do think you should buy whatever makes you happy, just know what makes you happy before you walk into the gun shop.

I will admit, i'm partial to the stainless, but i love the protection the DLC offers especially for a carry. The night sights aren't a dealbreaker for me, as I can always add them later. I will look at em both tomorrow and see which one calls out to me more and hopefully post pics tomorrow evening.

Dang, another sleepless night while we toss and turn with anxiety over what you'll end up with. It's like coming home with one of our own.

I think that there ought to be a warning about the effect that this site may have on newcomers. In no time at all you get a craving to buy Kahr pistols... and an insatiable desire that only gets stronger. Every one has to buy a PM9... and then you just need a PM45... and of course, there's that little one... the P380.
I had a K9 for over 12 years and hadn't shot it much... a lot less than 1,000 rounds to date. I've shot about that much since I got the PM9 in January... while hoping to just see a PM45 DLC with N/S at a gun show. I stumbled onto a like-new in the box PM9 DLC with N/S and couldn't pass it up after all the talk on this forum about that model. Then, I finally found the gun of my dreams on Gunbroker and bought the PM45 DLC with N/S. Now I just would like an all SS K45 DLC with N/S... my current dream gun.

+1 for B&H. Bought my PM9 their 3-09, paid 550 for base model. Couldn't touch one in O-town for under $800, if you could find one. It's worth the drive, only shop in the Central Florida area that gets my money.

Go Magic!!
