I just read this entire series and was thoroughly entertained! It is a trues story by a sheriff's deputy in the Ozarks about an encounter with a couple of transplanted Ivy League liberals who thought they saw a holster peek out from under a man's shirt as they were eating in a Mexican restaurant. It is a five thread series and time well spent. I believe that threads in this subforum can be read without being logged in as a member. If not, let me know. The OP has links to the four earlier threads so you can read the entire interesting story in order from the beginning. You will be thoroughly entertained! :D

Thanks for posting J, that was a very good read. You have the governments and school systems back east filling people's minds with how evil guns are, then a couple get a chance to train and see that they are not so evil after all. What bothered me is the "Brady's" widely held belief that the Police are going to be there for you when you need them. I wish there was some way to track the time between the call to 911 and the time the Police get there to photograph the dead bodies, or obtain evidence from a raped woman. I think that info right there would change a lot of people's perception about police protection. Not that they don't do their best, but if it takes 15 or 20 minutes for them to get to the scene, a lot can happen in those few minutes. I doubt if any large police department would release such statistics, I'm sure whoever released the information would find their job in jeopardy by going against the Mayor's/Governor's/ or whoever's insistence that the police will be there to protect you. Thanks again J!

That is an excellent read. Thank you for sharing.
It is nice to hear of people changing their opinion when presented with truth and facts...that doesn't happen all that often these days.

Thanks J. I have heard of those situations happening frequently to those from the east and those from the left coast.
I had liberal neighbors from California when I lived on the gulf coast.
He was a Dr. that signed on to work for the government for 10 years because the Govt. would pay off his student loans. They worked with the Indians in Arizona for a while then he signed up with the coast guard to finish out. Where did they send him? Deep south MOBILE, AL.
I remember at first they were really upset when the teacher at the school insisted that their son use Yes Ma'am and Yes Sir when addressing adults at the school and call teachers by Mr. or Mrs. as appropriate because children had rights too and they were equal with the adults. We told them that's just how it was here.
They stayed for about 2 years and by the time they left they had changed their mind and decided that they liked it after experiencing the respect given to them by the neighborhood kids. We never reached the gun discussion but I think it would have been the same.
When they left they went to Alaska. I wonder how they are handling that???? Not too many Obummer voters up there I bet and everyone has a gun.

That used to be public information and an important measure. It usually ran between 14 and 18 minutes, but that was a long time back. Now 911 is likely to take 14 minutes answering the phone and grilling you before that dispatch. I don't think they are measured. From stories I've heard they are kin to that character Lilly Tomlin played on Laugh In. Earnestine ? the ring-a-dingy switchboard operator.

That happened in my area. Arkansas is a very gun friendly state. When I applied for my CCW permit the local police and state police were very friendly and helpful. Both departments said: "The more law abiding citizens carrying, the easier out job are." In the last couple of weeks our Legislature and Governor signed new gun friendly laws into effect. It is illegal for anyone to give names of CCW carriers to any entity, period. The Governor can not confiscate fire arms in any state of emergency. It is legal to carry on any school campus or church unless asked not to. It is illegal for anyone to come into the state to purchase any firearm for a "sting" purpose. (Bloomberg).
Very proud of my state and feel sorry for those in Communist states.

Seeing a bit of possible leather something is "brandishing"... that sounds so typical of the libtards who want to cause gun owners grief. They never even saw a gun... or could tell it was a holster.
I'm sure glad that I live in a liberal state... liberal towards gun rights.
Good read, but does sound contrived... like you could convert people like that:rolleyes:... or someone would spend that much time with them!

An absolutely enjoyable read. It almost gives you reason to believe that there is still reason to hope in America's resurgence.

I've never met a liberal who was open minded. They know what they know even if what they know is wrong. They believe that they are intellectually superior and that people on the right are just one gene above of being neanderthals. At least that's been my experience.

Good read! Thanx!
I've had a couple of ex wives & several girlfriends who had never shot a gun of any kind. Everyone of them enjoyed & got into shootin' once they realized that guns were not what the media makes them out to be.

An excellent read, and a valued look behind the veil of eastern highly educated anti gunners. It has always amazed me how some people are so intelligent, but yet so ignorant of common place information. IE. believing hollywood whole heartedly while being graduates of some of the nation's highest institutions of learning.
I am glad you were able to reach these fine people with the truth. I hope it sticks with them.

Thanks for sharing. Now I just hope somebody doesn't find something on Snopes or someplace that says it is a hoax.
