So when it was just your standard, run of the mill pressure cooker bombs that they thought were detonated by cell phone or timers, all was peachy.

But now that they're saying they used toy remote controls, they must have received actual jihadist blow sh!t up training.

And now for a story.

I have always had an inquisitive mind... how does this work, what can I do with that, etc. I like to tinker/experiment with different things.

I once modified a remote controlled car, giving it the ability to fire (bottle) rockets. I attached "launch tubes" to the rear fin of the car, and attached the receiver/igniter from a model rocket to the car's chassis. I then mounted the push-button rocket remote to the remote for the car.

I then loaded the launch tubes with bottle rockets, ran extra fuse to tie the two together, and attached the fuse to the receiver/igniter. So I could pilot that car around the neighborhood, point it where I wanted, push the rocket remote button and, after a brief delay, the car launched 2 rockets. Neighborhood cats and dogs hated me.

How old was I when I did this? Twelve.

Did I receive formal jihad training? No.

All it took was a little bit of thought to how things worked, along with a little forethought about how I wanted things to work.

Glock, I don't disagree with your general idea that they could have acted alone; but I am inclined to think they didn't. For one thing, they had more bombs ready to use than the two they exploded. This means they were pretty confidant that they were going to work. That means that they either tested at least one apparatus somewhere in order to give them the confidence to make multiple ones. There has been no suggestion in any coverage that they tested one anywhere out in the boondocks of MA or NH. Consequently, I assume that the older brother had the opportunity to perfect his expertise somewhere else (Dagestan?) or he/they had training here in the US by a third party.

Oh, I agree 100% that they could've had help.

I just find it odd that the introduction of the toy remote is what led the government to change their minds, now thinking they had help / received specialized training / etc.

I was wondering where you were going with this. All is well.

Just to narrow things down the key words here are "what led the government to change their minds".

I could go into detail the multitude of reasons this might happen but I better not. I don't want to add fuel to my fellow tinfoil hatters.

The question I haven't hardly heard asked is where did they get their funding? The elder brother took an extended trip to Russia and drove around in a Mercedes-Benz. I have heard it said that they were or had been on Welfare. So what gives? It sounds like they were being supported very comfortably like other terrorists (re:9/11) here in the States.

It's amazing how minds work. I couldn't figure out the the things that G23 figured out at 12; with detailed blueprints and an instructor.

Yeah, but there were also many many things that no longer worked because I took it apart to see how it worked. :D

You don't actually believe that the CIA and FBI are telling us all that they know, do you? And I thought that I was naive.

The prefer to control the flow of information, spreading it out to diffuse the combustion. You likely notice how they leak out one card, a big mouth senator plays the next, a military pawn another all spaced a few days apart. Oh, in case you forgot, review the embassy fiasco and how the all lied then slowly eased into the truth over several weeks all the time declaring no lies were said. Same playbook as never waste a good crises (even if you have to manufacture it yourself).

Exactly, and lets not forget how close the embassy deal was to the election, dictating how it was delt with.
It could become a top TV show..."Dancing with the Politicians"

I would be upset if I lived in MA and was told the welfare system of MA paid for the bomb components and lifestyle of the bombers. Not much of a reaction from the citizens. Lead out like sheep during the warrantless "house to house search". I guess it is true if you keep feeding them they will be happy.

Let's not forget that J Edger was a cross dressing gay mama's boy. I got that from the liberal media so it has to be true.
