I recently picked up a new K9, and found that the finish on the trigger, slide-stop lever and mag-release button are different than the rest of the stainless on the gun. According to Kahr, these are nickel plated. Does anyone have any idea why? The only reason I can think of is because nickel is somewhat slick and can reduce friction, and these are parts that wear/rub.

Call me petty, but the color difference bugs me! Do I need order K9 Elite parts to get them to match the slide and frame? My model is the NYPD version, so I'll be ordering Elite trigger parts anyway.

PS - I just sold a K40, and I don't recall this color/finish difference on that gun.

I had a Kahr K9 that was finished in nickel. Maybe some your guns has some of the nickel parts added by mistake. I believe it was just a few years they did the guns in nickel.
