I copied this post from the S&W Forum. Excellente!
Last month, Kansas Governor Brownback signed into law the Second Amendment Protection Act.
Apparently U.S. Attorney General Eric Holder now has an issue with Kansas, and sent the governor a letter regarding the new law. Link --> http://media.kansas.com/smedia/2013/...FtDO.So.80.pdf (http://media.kansas.com/smedia/2013/05/02/09/53/rFtDO.So.80.pdf)
Well... Governor Brownback, along with Secretary of State Kobach have replied to AG Holder. Things are getting interesting!
Makes my plans on returning to Kansas in the near future look better each day!
Response letters here...
Governor Brownback --> Governor to AG Holder: Kansans hold dear the right to keep & bear arms (http://governor.ks.gov/media-room/media-releases/2013/05/02/governor-to-ag-holder-kansans-hold-dear-the-right-to-keep-bear-arms)
Secretary of State Kobach --> http://library.constantcontact.com/d...h+re+SB102.pdf (http://library.constantcontact.com/download/get/file/1102657032088-83/Statement+of+Secretary+Kobach+re+SB102.pdf)
Very curious as to how this plays out.

Good for Kansas! Obama wants civil war....he is trying to pit states against each other and defies federal laws regularly and rights of the people.

I believe Montana if I remember correctly has already implemented that same in state clause.

I'll let you know how it turns out, I was very interested in the proceedings you linked too.
We used to have the Wichita Arms Company. that build very nice and very pricey rifles. I'd like to see someone startup up and AR-15, and 1911 factory. Or entice one of the established gun makers to move, and create a home state line of weapons that meet the guidelines for intra-state commerce.
I see AG Eric Holder is crapping his pants over these states doing this.

Good one for Kansas!!!....I can't believe that Eric Holder isn't in jail much less still in office as the Nations highest ranking Law Enforcement Officer....Holder is an arrogant incompetent lying Obummer a$$ kissing weasel and should have been run out of office after Fast & Furious....Lets hope more states stand up for their Citizens Constitutional Rights and tell him to go FO....:Amflag2:

JFootin-
Thanks for this post. I am a resident of the great state of Kansas, and I folled closely the passage of this new law. However, I was unaware of the conflict brewing between Brownback, Kobach and the AG (though I'm not at all surprised). I'm proud to have a Governor who will stand arm-in-arm with those of us in the 2nd amendment community.

If you get Eric Holder all up in your grill, you've done your job well! Way to go Kansas, keep up the good work.

I've had a heart bypass ... I don't think I could handle it if the above thought ever came to pass.

The only explanation I can come up with for why Obama has held onto Holder is that Holder must have something on Obama. He knows where some skeletons are hidden.

I wish my Governor would grow a pair... But he's too busy trying to position himself into the White House!

I totally agree Rev. I believe Obama and Holder were buddies in college. A little Bill Ayers, a little Angela Davis thrown in for good measure. Just could be a few skeletons. I was pretty good in my youth but like most, my buddies from those days could probably hang me out to dry.
Feds are just posturing. They ain't got no leg to stand on wrt this issue and they well know it.

I think Holder is to Obama as Proctor was to Mauser, and both of them such turds that they need to be flushed for the good of society.
