I have owned a cw9 for around 2k rounds and love it. Have had zero issues. I wanted a 45 carry gun and decided on a CW45 All American Gadsden Edition. Love the feel and the look. First trip to the range with a ton of problems. I can't even get thru one mag without multiple fail to fires. It appears the trigger is not resetting. Shake the pistol a bit, you can hear a click, and it will go bang when you squeeze the trigger. I was hoping this would clear after the 200 round break in but it didn't. I took it back to my LGS to send back to Kahr. I don't like issues like this in a carry gun for obvious reasons. Anyone know of this happening or what could cause it? How is Kahr for dealing with issues like this? Any input is appreciated.

They will fix it without a doubt. Sounds like a trigger bar issue. I was hoping someone here would get one of those.
Sad it has to go back but it'll be a keeper when you get it back.

So this is a known issue? Also the firing pin mark seems to come at an angle when I look at spent cases. Thoughts?

The firing pin mark is completely normal. Mentioned in the manual I believe. I call it primer smear. Most small semi auto's do it. Nothing to worry about there at all.
I would say its a known issue on occasion. I wouldn't go so far as to say its common. We hear of it from time to time but certainly not pandemic by any stretch.
Kahr will cure it. Hope you can post some pics of it when it gets back.

Smear is a good way to describe it. While I agree lots of semi autos do (my cw9 does not) this seems way more "smeared" than anything I have ever seen.

Also I shot some low recoil hydrashocks thru it and was surprised. I have never used these rounds in any other 45, but the muzzle flash was so intense it heated my knuckles. For carry ammo that seems counter productive for a flash that bright/large. Thoughts?
*this was the only carry ammo in 45 my LGS had so its all I got at this point as my 20 remaining HSTs are with my 1911.

Yep, what Bawanna said on the trigger bar causing a reset issue. Mine had it. You could let it "flick" forward and it would reset but the tolorance was just a little too tight. I took the risk and fixed it myself and it's been a winner ever since. When you get that gun back you're gonna love it.

I like the thought of a fireball out the end of a .45 but I'm kinda sick like that so pay no attention to me.
I did shoot mine with ball ammo at dusk one time and got the flame thrower effect too so I think in a "dark" situation you're gonna get that no matter what.
Darn, this makes me want to go shooting but it's raining here today... :(

Flamethrower is accurate. But I stacked hydrashock ball hydrashock ball in the mag and only flames with the hydrashock. Never seen it do that out of my CW9 or 1911 so I wascurious.
I've got this idea... that I call the "hanging chad" theory.
Basically.. we know all the Kahr's are test fired at the factory. So why the trigger reset issues after a bit more shooting?
My idea is that on polymer frames, a bit of plastic, a shaving after a bit more shooting, gets lodged, or becomes a hanging chad.... interfering with trigger bar operation - the reset in particular.
