Hey all, I'm a member of a couple other forums ( motorcycle, truck) and was happily surprised to find one dedicated to Kahr arms :) 6-8 months ago my wife and I bought twin PM9's and couldn't be happier with the quality although a bit spendy compared to others. We purchased them without firing a shot through them because of the size and concealability alone. Very nice guns. Guess I'll be in the market for a P45 to replace my S&W .45acp revolver ;) PS Redding is not related to LA or San Fran :D

It is a small world after all! Next week I will be riding my HD from Crescent City to Redding to pick up my Kahr PM9. Was passing thru this week and found one in stock. Any excuse to go for a bike ride. Love the 10 day waiting period.Just ordered a Kusiak holster. What is your carry holster?

How about that ... "hogsandguns" is going to ride his hog to get himself a gun. Now, if he finds religion, then I imagine Mr. O would have no interest in him at all.

Yes it is, my wife and I ride also. I currently ride an 07 V-rod and she rides a Superglide. Apparently we need to hook up somewhere in the middle on Hwy 299? We bought two PM9s from Bastiani arms and love them... nice shooter for such a small gun. As for my holsters I have one IWB I got from Jason at www.concealmentsolutions.com (http://www.concealmentsolutions.com) He's out of Utah and makes the best Kydex/Leather holsters out there in my opinion. The guy even called me personally to make sure my order was perfect :) It shipped in less than 2 weeks. I bought a fully Kydex OWB from RKBA holsters and it's ok but the belt loops are huge and the gun grip sags to the outside. I recently got a 1911 thats gonna get an OWB holster from Jason. PM me next time your heading this way?

Hello, I just recently moved back up to the Redding area from...elsewhere in the state (good to be back in the non-People's Republic counties). Any recommendations for outdoor shooting in the area? I know local law enforcement here is a lot more favorable to gun owners, but do you know if I'm asking for trouble to go shooting in the National Forest (of course where the Forest Service doesn't ban it), and, if it's ok, would it be reasonable to open carry in those areas where I can shoot? (That's probably the toughest question)

Re: the 10 day waiting period. Heard a Federal Judge rule the waiting period is only for first time buyers. After that you only need a background check and you're good to go. Did the judge put a hold on his ruling so that Sacramento can do an end run around it and keep the status quo?
On another topic: I, along with many other Californians, voted YES to a ban on gay marriages and I was in the majority. State Supreme Court comes along and says the ban is unconstitutional and reverses the election. From that point on, I lost all faith in the California election process. Shortly thereafter, I moved out of state.

Yes he judge put a hold on the ruling so the legislature can rewrite the law so the ten day waiting period is no longer a "cool down" period, since that makes no sense for someone who already owns a gun, but I'm sure they'll find a way to keep it.
On your other topic, no matter what you voted for on that issue, the court ruled that the STATE CONNSTITUTIONAL AMMENDMENT VOTE (which was done by the established process) violated the state constitution...isn't that why we have a process to make amendments in the first place?!

Yes, I gather that the politicos in Sacramento gagged when the Judge said the ten day waiting period doesn't apply to those who already have a handgun. Sorry to hear the Judge put a hold on the ruling so the law could be rewritten to nullify the Judge's ruling because that's exactly what they're setting out to do. Those guys in Sacramento think they have a lifetime government job and that they own the State. Each election cycle is just another round of musical chairs for these guys "Mmm, whose turn is it this time to be the Governor?" and the majority of the voters just go along with the game and continue to vote them in. Sorry for those of you who own guns and have to live in the great Socialist State as those in the Legislature are not your friends.
On the other topic: I was naïve to think that an election meant something and that the majority had some say on how the State is run. Well, the California State Supreme Court sure set me straight. I should have just skipped that election knowing now that the game was rigged. Even though I got fed up doesn't mean you should stop voting. Keep voting for those things that you believe in and get others to join in!
