May ole HP injet is useless now. I can print a picture of a lot of guns I'd like to have in 3D, but that's about it.

Is the chamber/barrel metal? What part is metal, or at least detectable, as required by law?

No the chamber/barrel is not metal.

It has an added piece of metal to comply with the law. Otherwise the only working part that is metal is a nail used as the firing pin.
