I'm looking into another 1911 but I need this one to be a 9mm. If MRI made one I would give it a good look. I like what I see with the exception of needing a ambi safety. I love my Kahrs ( and my 1911/2011s).

Why a 9mm version of the 1911? Just curious.

Not sure of your budget, but I've had good luck with Cidadels. And they're at a very reasonable price.

I will end up punching it out to 9x23. Thanks

If we ever move to my wife's home country, 9mm ammo is way more available and way cheaper than .45 so I would consider a 9mm 1911 to own there.

STIs are good guns, I have a CMC 2011 that I have been shooting since 1993 in 9x23. Looking in to a single stack to punch out to 9x23.

I have an RIA Tactical in 9mm. I'm very pleased with it. I did find it works best with Metalform 9FR-794 magazines. I believe these are pretty much the "gold standard" for 9mm 1911 magazines.

You'r right, I have to learn how to use the internet someday. I was wanting to get a 9mm to punch out into a 9x32S but I see they make it in 38Super too. That would be just a hand ream to allow 9x23. Thanks
