pocket carry CW9?

I just bought a CW9 and wonder how many people here carry this pistol in a pocket.

I have big pockets so it works just OK, it prints a bit also but I'm working on a different pocket holster profile.

It's more comforting than the P3-AT anyway.

Sometimes I carry my PM9 in the pocket, but that is rarely. The consideration that I have
is that the pocket draw is slow. Besides, as a woman our pockets are rarely big enough.
But seriously, pocket carry is a secondary choice.

alot of owners pocket carry a cw, it's doable. the cm9 would do alot better if tha is uyr methond of carry. Most will carry a cw in a waist band type rig. seems to work best for those.

Thanks for the replies, guys (and gal?). I'll probably just carry in the Foxx Trapp that I just ordered but it would be nice to be able to stuff the gun in a pocket holster when the weather makes an outer shirt uncomfortable.

I carry my CW9 encased in an el cheapo Uncle Mikes pocket holster in my cargo shorts/pants upper pocket without any problems. I shift it to the lower pocket when driving.

I pocket carry a pair of P9's everywhere. One on each side. Keeps me balanced so i don't tip over

I have on occasion back pocket carried my P9 but it's rare. As a matter of course I can't normally pocket carry any of the Kahrs. Not even the CM9. I know a lot of people can but I'm not one of them. I friend loaned me his CM9 to try and I gave it back after one day. I will have to keep my P3AT for that. For this reason I've never traded my P9 for a CM9. When my P9 is on my belt in it's 15 degree cant it hides as well as a PM or CM9 has 1/2" more site radius, 1/2" more barrel for what velocity that gives me and one extra round.

I front pocket carry a CW40 in a pocket holster. Walmart's cheapo house brand jeans have deeper front pockets than any other I've found. No printing and reasonably comfortable. Other jeans I've tried show the butt end of the grip too easily.

What brand/style jeans are you talking about? Walmart doesn't have any jeans labeled "Walmart." So what is the brand name on them?

JFootin - probably meant the "Faded Glory" brand. I'm pretty sure that's the Wally-world brand.

Faded Glory "relaxed fit" version is what I have. They're under $10.

I pocket carry a CW40. I have suit pants, blue jeans, and the famous bdu type. The brands vary and are purchased only if the pockets are big enough.

I also have a SR9c that I front pocket carry. It works for me!!

guess probably we should never say never on what constitutes a pocket gun. I always felt the cw series was a tad to big but many here say no, it can be done, if u buy the right jeans ..

I think these are some big guys. With my skinny legs, even my CM9 makes too big a lump when I am seated. Just not as noticeable on a much larger man. I have to go with my TCP in a good holster for pocket carry, but I've decided not to carry there.

I'm 5'7" and weigh 156#. The "relaxed fit" jeans with the deep pockets hide a CW40 in a pocket holster quite well. When sitting down with a pocket holster it looks like a cell phone or wallet. Standing and walking it's completely hidden. No one has ever asked me what was in my pocket, and my wife and shooting friends can't casually tell if I'm carrying or not.

I had an El Paso Pocket Protector holster for my CM9, and when standing there was no print at all. Nice holster. Maybe I'm too sensitive, but that bulge when seated was way too big to be a wallet or a cell phone. That, and the grip would print, revealing it as a gun. Same with my J-frame and to a lesser extent with the TCP. Finally, while drawing isn't too difficult when standing, it can be almost impossible when seated.

yup, ur way to sensitive about that print stuff my friend. beendoin this crap for years and over 5 with the PMJ9 in my front pocket in damn tight jeans. sure it prints some. It could be a wallet,it cold be a cell phone, it cold be a gun, I have never been asked one way or the other..TRUST ME JFOOTIN, no one is really looking and if ur legal to carry then screw um all..

Thanks, jocko. I know you well enough that your opinion was in my mind as I posted that. Really, the big problem for me is the diffculty drawing when seated. I am seated almost all the time because my legs are getting so weak. When I go to Walmart or the grocery, I use the electric scooters. I went to Rose's discount store this afternoon (10% senior discount on Wednesdays). They don't have any scooters, so I walked around using a cart as a walker. Of course, I had to go pee when I was on the opposite side of the store from the bathroom. :mad: Both knees were hurting and I felt like I was carrying a small elephant on my shoulders. Tonight, I am feeling a lot of pain and weakness in my legs up to and including my hips. I think I am going to be joining Bawanna as a full time power chair jocky much sooner than I thought. But I have my waist carry options covered with a variety good holsters to choose from, and I can always find a jacket or vest pocket to put my TCP in as a BUG. I might even carry it in my front pocket. (If I am not walking, my other hiding place for it won't work.)
