I want to buy an extra mag for my new CW9. I don't know which 8 rounder to order. The Kahr site lists the K920 and the K920G as fitting my gun. I don't know if the K920 will leave some magazine protruding from the mag well. I'm thinking that the K920G with the finger extension would fit flush with the bottom of the pistol, but I don't know. Can anyone here educate me?
Thanks,
Kim

Hey Kim,
You educated yourself just fine!
K920G fits right for the CW9. The K920 would fit too, but it will leave a big gap between the bottom of the grip and the top of the magazine base plate, just as you suspected.

It is actually the same size magazine tube. One has a sleeve on the bottom to fit 7 round Kahr grips and the other without the sleeve to fit the 8 round grip length Kahrs, T9 or TP9 models. Both will work in your CW9.

Could try aftermarket mags too. I know Mag-Gar makes an 8 rounder for the Bersa Thunder .380 that is the same length as the Bersa 7 rounder. I guess they just shortened the follower enough to fit the extra round.
I tried the 8 rounder for my P9. Ended up loosing $ by trading it back to Kahr for the 7 round mag that didn't hang down.

The K920G is great for the range and reloads. I also keep them in my P9 and K9 for home defense... and in the PM9 when it's in that role. I always carry the largest Kahr magazine as a reload for the pistol I'm carrying. If I need more ammo, the extra round or two might make the difference.
I've had no problems with the 8-round extended-grip mags and have maybe half a dozen of them.

I have 3 K820's and 3 K920G's. I keep the 820's loaded with defensive rounds and the 920G's with range ammo. I'd like to get my hands on 2 or 3 K920's just because.
