I've seen this label on boxes of new pm & cm guns on Gunbroker. Anyone have any insight into what "packed" is?

Just a guess, but I believe it identifies Kahr's that are packed in a hard plastic container, rather than a cardboard box.

The time I've seen it, it was on a cardboard box so I know that's not the answer. I've googled this and searched the forums and have no idea what packed means.

How could it go on its shipping trip if it was unpacked?

What's a shipping trip? Where I see it is on some of the pistol cases/boxes. Not on anything to do with shipping.

PACKED.... does that mean it has been carried?

Because the label was put on at the factory, it is logical that "Packed" means (includes all manuals , warranty cards, instructions, trigger lock and correct amount of Magazines, plus Original Factory box) 1 mag for CM9

My CM9 box had the same label on it and it was Factory New. Mine came in a plastic box, the one pictured in the link looks like it is packaged in a cardboard box. They come both ways for some unknown reason.

My PM9 is factory new and it doesn't say packed on the box/case. Aren't all pm/ cm9's factory new? Don't they all come with manuals, trigger locks, etc.,? After all, that's required by law. Your explanation doesn't explain why some say packed and others don't. Don't get me wrong, I'm appreciative of your input, it just doesn't seem to answer the question. Still wondering.......

You can lead a horse to water, but you can't make him drink. I gave you a logical answer, you can make your own conclusions.

Here is the reason. Some states require the trigger locks and different things to be included with the gun and some do not. The pistols that are going to the states that require certain extras are labeled "packed". At least that's what the Kahr technical rep that I just spoke to on the phone told me.

could also be that strip some items from factory units.... so full ones are packed. along the same lines, items from dealers that have been on display... may not have full packaging, so if they do, they're packed.

You could send a message to the seller and ask what it means.

Bet you would find out.....

I bet not. I contacted the seller and he had no idea. If you read above, I did find out this morning when I spoke directly with Kahr.
