Lentevan

I just wanted to write and voice my support for ld660 which will be coming to the house floor in the future. I think it is a big step in the right direction as to our second amendment rights and our own states constitution pertaining to the same thing. I feel that Vermont is a perfect example as to how well this can work if passed, there's been no issues with it there and no reason for it to be here.
If anything it'll possibly help to reduce what little violent crime we have in our state because any criminal will have no idea to who may or may not be carrying and will act as a deterrent since they will usually look for a soft target that won't be able to fight back. I understand our state issues permits for concealed carry and I am in fact waiting for mine to arrive any day now but this would remove the wait and hassle of applying, paying a fee every 4 years (infringement in my opinion, it doesn't say will not be infringed unless we can make a buck) and having to keep said permit on you while carrying.
There is the argument of you have to pass a background check for your permit so they'll weed out the bad apples. That is complete bunk, you need to pass said check to buy the firearm(each one unless it's more then one bought in the same shop on the same trip). Not too mention all the background checks that are run for different licenses, jobs, loans, etc. Gun owners are mostly all hard working, law abiding conscientious citizens and this would be a great new law that is pro gun in this time of media fueled gun scare tactics. Like I've heard recently our administration tells us to not discriminate all Muslims because of a few radicals, so let's not discriminate against all gun owners because of a few radicals (who actually weren't legal gun owners).
Thanks for your time and consideration,
