Have been monitoring this forum for a while, and looking at the PM9 for a long time. Pretty happy with my current carry handguns (Seecamp .32, Bersa Thunder CC .380, and Micro Desert Eagle .380), but wanted a 9mm for the increased firepower and availability. I also much prefer pocket carry, so the PM9 was the one. It's very rare to find one at a LGS, so I kept looking online. Happened to see availability at Buds tonight so I jumped on it. Looking forward to getting my hands on it and breaking it in.

I think you made a good choice and you'll like it alot. While your waiting you can read the owners manual on this site. And visit the tech section and read Jocko's proper prep of your new Kahr. Some good pre break in stuff to do so things go smoothly first trip to the range.
Hope you hand around and keep us updated on your new toy and the old ones for that matter.
Welcome.

Congrats on the purchase. You will fall in love immediately. Just came back today from the range and shooting my PM9. Had not shot it for several months. Still in love with it and am shooting it better due to new progressive glasses - plain to readers since I wear distance contacts. Also been using a grip exerciser. Since I am 69 years old both of these have really helped the technique and the shooting is getting significantly better which makes it more fun as well. Have fun with the new gun and enjoy it.

Congratulations on your new Kahr and good shooting!
I tried shooting with my progressive glasses and one of the three things was always out of focus... or maybe it was two out of three... the target, the front sight, and/or the rear sight. I got a pair of cheap Remington shooting glasses(yellow for $5 at WM) and they are great. I use glasses for reading and up close stuff and my far vision isn't very bad. I can read most stuff at arms length, so I didn't need the prescription lenses with my gun extended, but eye protection is a must... especially when the ejected cases are flying back at your face! that stopped after the PM45 went back to the mothership for the stripper to be beveled and the ejector replaced.

Thanks for the greetings and pointing out the prep information that's online. I just introduced myself to handguns about a year ago so the info will be very useful as my handgun knowledge isn't very good yet. As you can see from my post it took me about four attempts to find "the perfect" pocket pistol. Maybe just three attempts as the Seecamp is kind of in a different class than the PM9 - had to go online to find one of them too. Looking forward to absorbing as much info as possible from you all. Bersa also has a pretty good forum with a very avid followership. Thanks again.

Welcome to the board. I know you'll find a comfy spot to sit and chew the cud from time to time.

Could you please tell me where the jocko prep thread is? I couldn't find it in the tech section.

do u like that Micro Deserrt eagle? I have read pro's and cons. Mostly all pros though. Other than a couple stating you better have your hand in the right position on the grip or you will get bit. I can't say they are beautiful either but if they go bang every time and are accurate then that is all that matters. Would you buy one again knowing what you now know?
Welcome to the forum, You should note that the top 5 posters should receive some token payment in the mail, preferably 20 bucks for the top poster (ME) and then what ever you feel is right for the other 4.:19:

I would not buy the Desert Eagle again, if I was perfectly happy with it I probably would have stuck with it and not gotten the PM9. It is a reliable gun - but like most small .380s it is a little ammo sensitive. I do like that it is very small and relatively heavy - which helps with the kick. Don't think it is anywhere near as accurate as the P380 as the sights are minimal, and the tigger pull is pretty long and heavy - which also doesn't help accuracy.
