No guns or gun-related sales on the Square service: http://money.cnn.com/2013/05/13/technology/square-guns/index.html

For those of you unfamiliar with Square, they are those little, yes square, boxes that attach to cell phones and allow anyone to accept credit card payments.

Well, there's another company that I won't do business with. Anyone who wants to swipe my credit card through one of their square devices can go pound salt. I'll buy from someone else.

Guess I'll have to find another card device then. I accept payments for classes via Square. Not anymore!

Someone in another gun forum is suggesting signing up for these devices (which will cost them ~ $5 for the device and sign-up is free to the user) and then once the device arrives cancelling, citing this policy as the reason.

Not recommending that of course, just sayin'

$5 to make a point to a company that isn`t going to care? nah, give it to the nra instead.

I think he means it costs the company $5 (their cost of the device plus shipping), it costs you nothing.

I think "Square" is going to find a sudden surge in "gift" payments.
