..for the first time yesterday. This women is scary sometimes.....after a few mags she stats making a smiley face with the target about 15 feet away. Only her 3 time shooting anything and her first time shooting a semi auto. She's not a gun person and I have a hard time getting her to go shoot with me but she went yesterday and shot lights out.
In the past she didn't want to mess with the whole semi auto thing with the mags and the racking and buttons but for some reason she was ready yesterday. After a brief coaching she loaded her mags and charged the gun and really started to tear up some targets.

Bought mine used, sight unseen and it's one hell of a nice gun.
Evidently my wife likes it to...

Is it still in your possession? If not I'd not be too quick to say it's yours any more.

Does sort of open the door to looking for another one when she allows of course.

I saw the title of the post and my first thought was another good Kahr, lost. Even if it is to a good cause....

If she likes my K9 so much I'll take my CW9 and give her the slick metal bad boy any day. I'd like for her start keeping one in her car....really I'd love for her to get her CC but I've learned not to push her she has to come around on her own. When I first got my CC I bugged her to get one and it went no where. She really had fun shooting this last time out, she also shot my .22/45.....but she said she like the K9 better! I'm hoping with a little time and me staying off her back, she'll come around.

The CW9 would be better for her car. The K9 is kind of expensive to be put where it could get stolen. Just sayin...

Yeah I thought about that JFootin. Next time out I want her to shoot my CW9 so she can see that the two guns shoot so much alike that it really won't matter which one she has.
Really I'm glad she wanted to shoot a semi auto at all. I've got some snap caps I plan on using to help her get used to loading and doing some tap, rack, bang drills.
She did say "It's easier to shoot the Kahr fast compared to the revolver"

just make damn sure she can do the tap rack and bang drills. If she can't clear or can't unload, or can't load a kahr, then it is not for her. anyone can pull the trigger once loaded. It is the stuff leading up to that. some sanp caps inserted in a loaded magazine will demand she know the drills mentioned. It is always easier to shoot a semi over a wheel gun, but IMO it is always easier for a women to load, unload, clear a mis fire in a wheel gun. Just remember we men know how to do most of all this stuff, so work with your woan to make her feel comfortable and give her a break when she says "I can't do this" or I can't do that" CAN"T NEVER DID A DAMN THING. IMO it is not how good she shoots as that will come with more rounds down range but her ability to do the normal things that is required of a semi auto shooter that, just has to be automatic in her usage..

I hear ya Jaco, she'll have to prove she can clear a jam and be comfortable racking the slide before I give her the green light. I didn't think she would ever want to learn how to operate a semi auto until this last range session when she showed interest.
Everybody is different but laying low and giving my wife time....about 3 years for mine..has paid off and now she is coming around and now I think she sees it as her choice and not me pushing her to shoot more and be proficient with different types of guns.
