I ordered a couple spare recoil springs for my K9's. Right part number ordered...right part number on the invoice. 005K9S. Right number of coils on the spring. It took everything I had to try and get it in the gun and it finally sprung and has a nice bend in it now.
There is no way this can be right...is there???? It seems a little long, like, for a T9. Its twice the length of the guide rod. New one on top, old one below.

The springs have the same number of coils... which is the important thing. You know that springs take a set... get shorter under compression? They are designed to work correctly after taking a set under compression.
Wolff makes Kahr springs. Here are the FAQ's:

Spring compression and set might be an issue...if I could ever get it installed. That is obviously not going to happen. It kinked in half while I was leaning into it with the muzzle on a workbench. It was still a full inch from going under the barrel notch.
Add the fact that the closed end of the spring is a loose fit on the recoil spring guide. Something doesn't feel right.

Sorry. Before the kink it was right. Been there done that. Use a chopstick or something to help you keep the spring straight as you compress. The new spring made a noticeable reduction to recoil from my k40.

Your new spring appears to be the same size as the spring in my new K9. It is a little difficult to get in, but I agree you have the correct spring.

Well. It's in. Needed a wooden hammer handle to push.
I've got two K9's a K40 a PM9 and had MK9. Never seen one this hard to get in.
