3mos for a CCW permit to come after applying, 15 business days after applying for a pistol purchase permit jeez North Carolina is just slowwwwwww.. And then you have to make two trips IN PERSON to get your permit.. PITA..

Meanwhile I am lurking and reading how to clean, inspect, and maintain this not-yet-existant CW45, along with scrounging up brass, dies, powder and bullets.

I have some TZZ hardball for intial break in, but will have to switch over to some plated 200gr LSWC to complete a 200-300 round break in.

Thanks to all the regulars who took the trouble to photograph and document the stickies, they are well worth the effort to post them.

Don't be surprised if you have trouble with the SWC. I couldn't get my CW45 to feed them reliably.

You should to write a letter to the Governor of your State to ask him why your State is infringing on your constitutional right to keep and bear arms. The instant background conducted by the federal government should qualify you for immediate possession of a firearm.

Yep, what Muggsy said. All the permits and crap sounds like infringement to me. Guess thats one more state where I don't want to live.

WELCOME TO THE FORUM though.

If you look at the people on most state payrolls, they are usually some of the slowest and laziest of all government employees, that's likely the problem.

We had instant checks in Virginia at gun shows, it worked great.

What would work better, if you apply for a CCW permit, you should be able to carry from day one, and only unless they find you have an oustanding reason to be denied a CCW, do they revoke it. The way this state works, you are denied legal carry while totally innocent for those 3 months.

If you have your CC permit, you don't have to get a purchase permit. A few minutes filling out the forms and you're on your way.

That's what I was betting on however CCW is 3mos away, and the gun is coming this week so I had to get a purchase permit to even pick it up and still have to wait until June 11th for that. Sucks..

I know. We have a strong majority of conservatives in Raleigh now. I hope they are going to repeal the permit thing.

If you have to pay for the permit. Good luck on getting that source of income repealed.
