I've had em all. Almost that is. The PM9, CW9, PM45, P45, K9, P9, P380...
All very good guns and I've had excellent experiences with all, except the P380 which had to go back a couple times.

I've always been a polymer guy, in favor of the light weight, but I liked my K9 too.

For some unknown reason, I never really looked into the MKs. Thought they were too small/heavy or a combination of the 2, or something. Never thought badly about them, just never gave them a chance.

I decided a little while ago I wanted to get a MK just to shoot and mess with. See what it was like. I picked a new one up a few weeks ago and I'm very much in love with the little MK! I've got several hundred rounds through it now and it's been flawless with all ammo.

The feel is fantastic. I've always preferred small guns like the PM9 and this one is worlds better for me. Easily concealed and tucked IWB in my Sticky Holster weight is not at all the issue I thought it would be. The weight actually works well for very quick shooting and followup shots.

While I liked everything about it stock, I like it even more with the CT grips I put on yesterday. It's amazing and a big thumbs up to Kahr.

:D

Very happy with this one.

Only advice I can give, don't walk, RUN! ;) Very easy, very accurate and a very soft shooter.

that is exactly the model that first interested me in the Kahr line four years ago. They are extremely rare in my neck of the woods, as are most Kahr products, so if you're like me and want to see, touch and examine a somewhat expensive item before making a purchase, it requires a lot of phone calls and most likely a whole lot of driving. Ended up "settling" for a CW9, which has been an excellent pistol, for about half the going price for the MK9 in 2009, and the addition of the Trij sights made it even better. Still lusting for the smaller package of the MK9, I added a CM9 last February and thought it would satisfy my lust for a smaller Kahr. It didn't. Now I have a good bit more invested than what it would have cost for the steel MK9 when the quest all started.

How about an even trade .... my two for your one .... and you can even keep the laser grip ? :)

Great post. I truly feel that anyone who hasn't spent quality time with a steel Kahr is missing out. Although I know they are not for everyone. The weight disappears in a good holster and it's all upside from there. All Kahr models are excellent firearms but the steel ones are amazing.

That is why I have two of them. Started with a CM9 and then had to have mk9 with wood. It's beautiful gun and my belt holster carry.

I think my Magnaported MK40 has to be one of the best shooters I have ever had.

Now there is a good comparison between Kahr's checkered and plain grips for those of you looking at both.

After selling my Bodyguard, and replacing it with an MK9, I could not believe the difference in accuracy. For a small firearm, very accurate indeed!

You guys are not making it easy for me to recover from not bidding on a MK on gunbroker that just sold for $600 brand new. With six minutes to go I was on the fence. What's the opposite of buyers remorse called???

If Gunbroker is anything like ebay you would have been outbid at $600 anyway.

Well, they have the 15 minute rule, meaning that the auction extends for 15 minutes after the last bid, even if it occurs 5 seconds before the end. This gives the previous high bidder time to respond if they want to. If they are inattentive, it's yours. What you have to do is decide what your maximum bid limit is ahead of time and if it goes higher, stop bidding.

It's what I do...........you always have to have a max bid in your head, what it's worth to you.

That's why I use the BuyNow option if it's close... to shut down any bidding war. Sometimes it's only $25 or so more. Why risk the bidding going past that?

I don't like bidding, but one time I did win without opposition and really sweated the 15-minute thing! I was sure that some A-hole was just going to bid me up!
