Hey guys, just wanted to see what hollow points you and your Kahrs prefer. In my other guns I prefer gold dots but as we all know it really depends on what each particular gun feeds well. So lets hear it "What's in your Kahrs"

Gold Dots... 90-gr, 124-gr +P, 180-gr and 230-gr... Short Barrel where available... all but the .380... where I use Buffalo Bore or Underwood +P Gold Dots. Yee... Haa!
Bonded Remington Golden Sabers are good, too... 180-gr and 230-gr I use in longer barrels.

I run the same stuff in both my P9 and TP9. One of the following, depending on how much I've got 'in stock' here in the safe.
Winchester PDX1 147gr
Hornady Critical Duty 135gr (standard and/or +p)

Gold Dots, Critical Duty or Federal HST for all of my Kahrs. Depending on which one of the 3 I have in stock or can find.

Glad to see many of you are having success with the gold dots. I am hoping mine pass the reliability tests thru my Kahr.

9mm Hornady Critical Duty +P in my CM9. They feed great and give great performance.

I am a fan of 124gr Gold Dot bullets loaded to a +P level from several smaller companies.

Anyone using 147gr. 9mm hollow points? Any problems in a CM9?

I've used both the 124 gr and 147 gr Gold Dots in my CM9 without any problems.

RossA:
I find the Winchester Ranger RA9B 147Gr Bonded HP's shoot well through my PM9.
The 147's shoot more pleasantly than do the 115's or the 124's for me.
I don't own a CM series, but I suppose the feel is the same.

Used both the Federal 124gr HST and Federal 135gr +P tactical bonded. I think I am gonna stay with the tac bonded. Recoil is a touch stiffer but not bad. Wish I had a chronograph to see the velocity difference though.
My PM9 eats 147gr Gold Dot and 147gr Federal HST just fine.

Gold Dots or Critical Defense, depending on what's available. No problems with either in my CM9.

MYPMJ9 will feed anything, but my preferencefor carry is the corbon power ball. Just sumpin about that roundnoxe nylon tip thatmakes mefeel confidentabout feedin. But I also in my K9 have 124 gold dots. either one of those two rounds makes me happy, I don't do alot of experimenting, not having shot 25 guys to really test out different rounds, I settlewith what works perfect and is more availalble. Ithink the Critical defenseroundby hornady has alot of the corbon power ball technology in it, so it should be a good round also. Kahrs are really not ammo sensitive that is a nice thing about the guns. I would think "maybe" the P380 might be more critical to what flys out the end of the barreldue tothe small ass size of thegun over all. I have corbon powerball in the P380..
Lots of good rounds out there, find one that please u and is reliable and IMO just stick with it.Isweriou7sly doubt if B Gwill know the difference of a power ball or critical defense round going into him..

So far I have used just Corbon DPX 140gr in my CM40. I would like to try Hornady critical defense sometime. But not a big priority since the Corbon stuff doesn't have the recoil I thought 40 s&w would have (and was told) in a gun this size. Beside I have used Corbon ammo in every auto pistol I own except 10mm for that I use double tap 135gr. Nosler Jacketed Hollow Point.
Ballistics : 1600fps / 767 ft.lbs. - Glock 20 and 1911

corbon dpx IMO is the best ofthe best. Ihave shot it in my 9 and it works great. all copper barnes bullet, gives full pedal expansion every dam time. Greatround. My opinion STICK WITH IT. u can't do any better.
all u 40 guys are gonna shoot through a BG with damn near any defense round, so IMO it is how much meat that bullet is taking out with it when it leaves the BGT's torso. That dpx is gonna take a 16 ounce filet size meat part with it.. Just sayin

124 +P Gold Dots in my G34 PM9 and T9, great uniform expansion.
CorBon powerball in the P380. Tried DPX, but found that the PB was a bit faster (1073 fps) and accuracy was spot on. Made my decision easier. Have had good results with all major brands of HP though, Hydrashock, Gold Dot, Hornady in both green and red, Golden Saber, etc.

because it feeds perfect but the speed difference cold be tha tthe dpx is 80 grain where as the PB is 70 grain, not to sure the Bg will feel the difference. I never had a complaint with any corbon ammo. It is normally a hot round all lines to..

Here in the wide open West, I zero every handgun at 50 yards. My PM9 likes Underwood and Corbon DPX 115's. My P40 prefers 180 gr. - Remington Walmart JHP's, pricier Remington Golden Sabres and Federal HydraShoks. The CW45 shoots best with the same two rounds that all my .45's seem to prefer, the HydraShok 230's and the superb Remington Golden Sabre 185 +P's. I spend the time it takes, with a good rest on windless days to establish 50 yard zeroes. With all of the Kahrs and a careful hold over, it is not too hard to hit the 100 yard gong, but I shot silhouette for many years. FWIW, I don't think any polymer Kahr should be fired with rounds of much over 450 fpe.

I carry HydraShok 124 gr in my pm9, and what little I have shot through it at the range has fed with no problem.
I did a lot of research on the pm9 before I bought it, and I thought I read a couple times about people experience feeding issues with the hornady critical defense rounds. Anyone with any experience to support/debunk that? I use that round in my glock 19 but am unsure about using it in the pm9.

My CM9 has fired Hornady CD without a problem. Can't say I've fired a lot of them, given the cost, but so far, so good.
