View Full Version : How many of you have multiple Kahrs?

Just wondering since some posts I've read sounded as if many of you have a lot more then one. I still have the P9 that's been following me around since 2002. Tried a friends CM9 once to see if it would pocket carry but that didn't work out. Some can but I'm not comfortable pocket carrying anything larger then a Keltec and on the belt my P9 does fine.

Probably more in the future. I was thinking MK9 next, but my LGS has a black P40 that is calling my name. ;)

Just two, my P9 and TP9. Had a PM9, but sold it. I plan to buy one more, a P45 some day...but it's pretty far down the list at this point.

I have 2 and when the CW380 comes out I'll have 3. Why? Because they all have the same operating system. Memory control reflex action lets me shoot any of mine without having to hesitate before firing to think, did I take off the safety, is this a single action or double action, etc. I just have to point and shoot. It doesn't get any better than that.

I've had a number of Kahrs in the past (at least a couple of each at one time or another)... K9's, PM9's, P9's, P380's. Keep coming back to them. I'm now convinced that Kahr's and Glock's are the best handguns out there. My current stable of Kahr's include a P380, CM9 and CW9. I'll soon be adding a CM40 and CW45. I'll probably end up with each model style in each caliber eventually.

I have an early K9, bought in 1996 and a PM9, bought in 2007. Both have night sights. I am waiting for the delivery of my MK9 that I scored on an online auction. It doesn't have night sights, but it will. UPDATE: My MK9 arrived today (Jun 5), immediate short session in my pasture, one shot at 7 yrds, five at 15 yrds, and six at 25 yrds, covered group with one hand. It shot a bit to the right for me but that is easy to fix. I'm a happy camper. Keep shootin' and check 6.

1)CM9 pocket EDC over 1 year. 2) CW45 because it is a .......45 and felt better in hand than the CW .40. Considered a P380 on several occasions, but no reason because the CM9 carries so well. The K40 is very tempting though.

I've had seven total. I bought the first, a CW9, over six years ago. Later I switched to 45 and bought a CW45. The CW 45 was traded for a PM45 a year later when I wanted to go smaller. Then disaster struck in 8/10 and 2/11 and both were stolen in two burglaries along with thirteen other pistols and a carbine.

At that point the kind and generous people "on this forum" got together lead by Bawanna and JohnH and purchased me a PM9. I will never forget such generosity and again say "THANK YOU" to all involved.

A few months later I bought a CW40 - I don't remember exactly why since 40 cal has never been my favorite caliber. After pining over the traded CW45 for over a year I got another in 12/11. Then I found a great deal on an MK40 in 1/12 and I was up to four Kahrs.

I sold the CW40 this year, which leaves me with my current PM9, CW45, and MK40.

My luck with Kahrs has been extremely good, or more probably Kahrs are just that good, because I have never had one problem after hundreds of rounds fired through these seven pistols.

Just a CM9. I wouldnt mind having a cw380 or p380 as well. I like the mini kahrs but only cause there is nothing better for the size. There cheap mags, loose quality control, and nose dive issues make the gun where i feel its only about 90% reliable and thats only after extremily careful inspection and cleaning after each range visit. While my glock 19 i feel is about 99% and if i missed cleaning etc... id still feel the same.

Maybe someone here at this site will share with you the magazine follower modification. It will definitely cure your nose dive issues and it is a very simple & fast modification. Try it you'll like the results.

I'm so glad I bought a CW45 for pocket carry
even with a houge handall jr on it
it still fits in my bluejeans front pocket.

I was shooting my CW45 this Saturday at a local indoor range and everyone
that happened to be there was all shooting hand cannons in 45 caliber.
They had never seen a CW45 and were astounded at how small and light..
Oh and how scary accurate....LOL

I first got my PM9 EDC and I love it. I then found a T9 in the marketplace section of this sit and got that too. I love both and probably won't sell either one. Next on the wanted list is an MK40 or maybe PM40 and eventually a p380. If I had the money, I'd buy them all, such neat little pistols. And they are made in America! :Amflag2:

I have owned just about all of them. Great pistols but, that I gotta say, have encountered some that were real stinkers! I remember when the T40 first came out and I ordered one with my local GS, gun came in, went to the range, grips, slide, and trigger all fell out on the range while shooting. Wow. Currently, P9, MK9, and P40.

A PM9, CW9, Cw40 and a P380. Got the extended mag for PM9 because I just didn't care for the "two-finger" grip,

My favorite one to shoot is the CW9-it just feels like it was custom made to fit my hand.

At one point, I had a CW40 and CW9, I bought the 40 and traded for the 9, I ended up getting rid of both, the 9 was great, the 40 was too snappy for me, then I got a P9 in another traded, traded that off eventually, in march I got my concealed carry permit, and wanted a new CC gun, I tried a Keltec P11, Glock 33, Glock 26, Glock 19 then decided to go back to Kahr with a CW45.

Then I saw a local ad for a CW45, I traded another pistol for it and then had 2 CW45's, both of them shot fine minus one of them launching an extractor, I traded for the other one to have as a back up and my 10 year old daughter liked the size of it and was claiming the one for herself.

Ran into some serious financial hard times and had to sell one of them so now I'm back to one Kahr.

One day when I'm back on my feet, I would like to get one if the full size kahr's in .45

I don't think that I posted on this thread, but I'm sure GUILTY... of owning multiple Kahrs! I've had as many as 7... had an extra new P380 that Wifey couldn't rack... but I'm down to 5 polymers: P380, PM9, PM45, P9, and P40. I carry all of those... one at a time... but mostly the P9 and PM45 lately. The P40 is Mag-na-ported with Big Dot NS and the P9 sports a Kahr ported barrel, and all have night sights. The K9 is marked for elimination... became a safe queen and I really only use the lighter pistols for carry. It's economics... too many new toys and some money needs to be liberated and put back into the household fund.

I think the fever is setting in..... :)

I learned a while back on this forum that the E9 was once produced as a value line of the K9. Kinda like the CM9 to the PM9. So, I think you'll love it, Rev. My K9 is my sweetest shooting of my Kahrs.

I'm going the other direction. No particular reason, just how things are turning out. I've had 3. PM, P, TP all in 9mm. Really have settled on the TP now. My favorite carry gun. For other uses, range + home defense + shtf, other stuff is filling that niche. So more seriously considering dumping the P9 now and getting a second TP9. So I'd still have multiple Kahrs, just doubling up on a good thing. The PM was gone shortly after buying it, just didn't work for me because of the small size.

My first kahr was bought used 4 years ago and I knew nothing about them. Liked it so much I bought a new cm9 with hope it would replace my KT pf-9. It did . I carry the CM9 for work or when just wear'n bibs instead of pants. The CW9 serves will for iwb duty and more resently bought a TP40 for cooler wether when a cover is practical. I have handguns I can shoot better , more accurately but done that carry better and serve a need as well .

I am new to the Kahr family and only have my CM9 so far. I was considering a CW9 but I'm having a hard time justifying it to myself. With the extended mag, the CM9 turns into a close resemblance of the CW9. I bought this gun mainly for pocket carry. However, I have quickly learned that the thinness of this gun makes it much more pleasant as an IWB carry than my thick Glock 26!! I am just searching for a good IWB holster for the CM9 and it will be my EDC in all seasons. Looking at PJ Holsters, Milt Sparks, or a Brommeland Max Con V. Decisions, decisions....

I added a second CW9 yesterday to the CW9, CM9, and K9 that I already had. The extra CW9 was "as new" in the box with all papers at a price I couldn't resist. I sent Kahr an email yesterday raking them over the coals for not getting the CM45 out in quantity. I've seen a few shops have had some in, mostly back east and southeast. The prices ranged from $334 - $400. I had the shop that had them for $334 email me if they ever get anymore in.

Accumulating quickly. Bought the CW9 a few months ago. Break-in? What break-in?Gem right out of the box.

After a lot of reading/research on the micro 380s, added a CW380 recently. Unfortunately, despite some attempts at pre-shooting prep work, the CW has had some problems. Will post more on that latter. When it was running right, was everything I hoped for - nice trigger, easy to shoot, and uncannily accurate at 5-6 yards for such a little thing.

Maybe a TP9 next?

I bought a CW45 for pocket carry and dropped it at an outdoor firing range breaking the slide rail, sent it in to Kahr who fixed it and while waiting for it to get back bought a CM9....wow what a great bunch of guns!! I am waiting now to have a good look at the new CM45 when available in my area. My opinion is that most of these "abreviated" 9's and 45's having shortened chambers seem to have problems no matter who makes them....so I was very careful to do the exact recommended factory breakin procedure both my guns work every time for me and I always carry the CM9.

Just broke-in my second, a CW9, purchased for summer carry (If it ever arrives in Minnesota- it's snowing as I type this). It compliments my K9 Elite. In my opinion, two perfect pistols. I'm now a full-blown addict; I've had my new one for just a few weeks and I'm already eyeing a CW380.

Any differences in their performance?

CW9 about 7 years old, a P9 black, and PM9. All three guns have been flawless, reliable and good to go.

Have about 300 rounds through my first, a P380, and I love it. Just picked up a PM40 and anxious to see how she kicks. Both are Black, which I really think looks sexy in this style of gun. And face it, life is too short to shoot an ugly gun!

I have two, a CM40 and a CW380.

I've also owned a PM9, PM40, CW40, CM9 and a CW45, all were good too but I've settled on the CM40 and CW380 to cover all my pocket gun needs, and both shoot great!

K9 from NYPD trade in a while back.

Just ordered a CW9. Might flip for a CM9 some day.

2 K9s and a CW9. If I could afford it I would have at least a T9 to go with them.

Bought a CM9 a couple months ago, like it so much I bought the CW380 yesterday. Will probably get the CM45 when my dealer gets them in.
