I currently have a CW9 with about a 12 round count through it and have someone wanting to trade me a P40 with about a 200 round count through it for it. I will be giving up 100 rounds of fmj ammo and a $45 IWB holster. Im only considering trading cause I like getting new toys and I have thought about stepping up to a 40.

Just wanting to hear some input from previous owners or general opinions on the trade

Better fire a few rounds thru the 40 and be sure you like the extra snap the 40 can give you . The P series is a nice upgrade but be sure its worth it to you. I shot a buddies cm and cw 40 and desided my next kahr would be a 40 cal but only in the larger tp series. The cw 40 was a bit harsh for me to shot as well as the 9mm's as much as I do with the cw9 and cm9. Now a cw or p 45 version?? Yes
Still lots of guys love there smaller 40s&w kahrs

At one point, I had a cw9 and a cw40, the cw9 was very pleasent to shoot, the 40 was very snappy and painful for me to shoot, for whatever reason I liked the cw40 better, it was a bit bigger than the cw9 but still small, the recoil on the cw40 was very harsh for me, I could not shoot it accurately at all, the cw9 was easy to shoot, I traded them both off because I wanted to try something different.

I am now about to buy a cw45, go figure.
