I just purchased a PM9 W/ night sites, Will be here in a few days, and I want to order a few extra mags.
What do you like the the best, the 6 rd or 7 rd ones. The 7 rd one look weird when installed.
When I purchased extras for my P45 I just got the 6 rd ones and have been happy with them.

I carry with the 6 round mag in the PM9. I carry a spare magazine which is 7 rounds.

seems if there is ever an issue with magazines , it is the extended magazine over the flush fit ones. You bought a PM9 for concealment, stick with the flush fit ones. My two cents on this only, YMMV.
You will shoot a 7 round magazine different than a 6 rounder. I practice they way I carry. My extended 7 rounder I would love to trade off to some blind guy..

Ok, haven't got this in the book yet, wtf is YMMV? Totally no idea. YMMV? Maybe I'm the blind one here, just dont see it.
Watch out for the seeing eye dog, heard they can be very protective, and the white stick, deadly weapon if he can feel where you are at. Bobbing and weaving highly recommended.

I'm adding those to the book also. Now we got dang duplicates. Now we'll have to add a code to tell which YMMV we're talking about. YMMV-1 Yoda Made me vomit? See I already got it messed up. Hope there's a special on Jocko decoder rings soon, I'm tired of feeling dumb and unedumacated.

I have two 6rders for both the PM & MK9. I put a Pearce grip extension on one mag for each. By doing that I use either of them depending on what I am wearing for owb and use the other for the spare. Do most of my range work with the extension as well. Works well for me and I agree that the 7rders are not worth the looks or hassle.

Your methods may vary, I didn't invent that one, It has been around a long time.

Ok wise and mighty oracle... what are your thoughts on a sticky or some such as Bawanna and I have been discussing in another thread? I think it is the current poll, if memory doesn't fail me again.

Dang it, I lose again. I'll add it to the list. That's a good one, never would have got it in a million tries.

For CCW the flusher fitting mags are best, but for reloads, I like more bullets. With the PM9 I only have the one 7-rounder with the extended grip. The mags with extended grips are better for reloads since there are no pointy parts to poke, prod, of abrade your skin.
With my PM45 I have lots more choices... 6 and 7 round extended grip magazines.

I've never figured out people who don't like the extended 7 round PM9 mag but then put a Pearce extension on the 6 rounder. Its the same length just one less round. I carry with the 6 round mag and have a 7 round mag in my pocket. My particular PM9 shoots to the same POA with either mag.

There was a post a while back about a magazine from another Kahr 9mm model that fits and looks really good on the PM9. (Eliminates that little gap between the mag baseplate and the grip) I'm pretty sure it was a 6 rounder. Anyone have a link to that post? I carry the 6 round mag for concealment, and the 7 rounder sits in my pocket. My vote is for more 6 round mags. The gun is designed for concealment :)

True enough, your essentially taking a concealed piece of perfection because of it's size and making it bigger, kind of defeats the purpose. The extended mags do serve a purpose for reloads as you and Wyn mention or for range session just to improve the grip but I'm also of the school shoot the way you normally carry.
Once the cartridge gets from the magazine into the chamber the magazine is no longer a factor in POA. You could take the mag out and throw it away and the accuracy would not suffer. Technically (imagine bawanna using the word technically) jeez. The balance and feel of the gun might vary, probably not even noticeable to the average guy, myself included although average for me would be a compliment. So accuracy could suffer slightly from the feel or balance but not a different magazine.

I don't like the looks of those things, but I use a bike tube cover on all my Tupperware guns... not that I need it on anything but the PM45, but firing +P loads in the smaller calibers, I appreciate no direct contact with the cheese graters!
At the range I use my K9 mags with my PM9 and I have three 7-round mags for the PM45 plus one non-Kahr 7-round that works well, too. I did a post on my 45 mags with pictures:

As I said earlier, the extended-grip mags are nice for the range or carry as reloads... much smoother bases.
I think that you can get up to 8-shot mags for the 9mm, but not necessarily with the extended grips. There's no choice at all with the P380, though, just the 6-shot flush-fitting mags. I hope they get around to making some with extended grips... more bullets and easier for pocket carry than that steel base.
Wynn:)
If you don't want a lot of magazines, the Mag UPLula is super for quick easy reloading. I bought two, so one could stay in my range box and the other hangs on the wall in the pantry in its original packaging for convenience. The "baby" version for .22 to .380 ought to be available soon. I've been thinking of removing just a tad off the front 1/8" on the sides of the "beak" so that it will go between the magazine lips of the .380.:D

Since my PM9 came with the flush 6rd and the extended grip 7rd, I ordered another 7rd extended grip mag. When I reach in my pocket with the mag slots, I want both spares to be alike.
That said, if I could have traded my existing 7rd for a 6rd that was under warranty, I would have bought another 6rd so all 3 would be alike.

Actually IMHO (dang I'm getting the hang of these abbreviations) your in good shape. Your keeping the gun compact but your spares are the same. In your place and I admit I'm old school, I'd get 2 more 7 rounders and 1 more 6 rounder. Then once a month or every other month swap everything out. Leave 3 empty in rest and 3 loaded up and ready. Or you can carry with the 6 with just 1 extra 6 as the occasion may call for. I guess the next best thing to owning a lot of guns is owning a lot of guns with alot of magazines. I think with modern day technology and better springs, this is no longer necessary but I've done it so long I just stick with it. Kind of like replacing springs even though they work, it's cheap/free and one less chance to take. Do of course make sure all the mags work like they should before you put them in rotation.
