I've been searching for a good deal. I've been lookin at a few pistols and the CW45 was hard to find anywhere by me. It popped up on armslist and the guy was fairly local. I went and scooped it up today.
I got the CW45, Hogue grip, Kholster IWB holster and separate mag holster, 2 additional flush fit 1911 mags, and a box of FMJ for $450!!!!
I think I got a deal!
He said he did the proper brake in 200rnds and then carried it for a while and never fired it since. I'm gonna clean it up really good hopefully tomorrow. Then get to the range when possible.

A little back ground on me. I was active duty Marine Corps for 4 yrs and now I work for the state (unfortunately its for the crooked state of IL!!)
Hopefully I can put this holster to good use one of these days!
I was a 4 year rifle expert and qualified once for the pistol and got expert as well. I hope to get some range time soon and get comfortable with my new baby!!

Any recommendations on oils n cleaners?
I have a basic CLP, rem oil, and Hoppes n9 barrel cleaner.
What do ya like for a degreaser?
I have some Zep formula 50 that works good on stuff but don't know how it would be. This is the ingredients I could find of it

It tends to leave a residue but if I flush it with water enough it comes clean. I've never used it on firearms though.

Well I tore the slide apart today. I broke it down all the way. There was a bit of shavings where the firing pin is and it was a bit dirty. The barrel had a bit of carbon. Got that pretty clean as well. Gonna try and get to the range and make it all dirty!!

I took it to the range today!!
WOW!! Alota gun in a small package!!
My uncle tried it out and he's a 1911, glock guy. He was really surprised as well. I haven't shot a pistol in 2 years and here's my first 2 mags at 7yrds.

I key holed a few. Yea I know its only 7yrds.
I pushed it out further to 15 then to 25. The further it went the more I was shooting groups upper left.

Went to the range with the wife today.
It took her a while to get comfortable with the CW45 but eventually she was able to keep them in the black.
Another 100 rounds through it without a hiccup!!

Congrats on the great deal and a fine pistol. Welcome aboard! Most people, including me, pull the shots down when getting used to the long smooth trigger pull. You probably know more about shooting than I do, but you may be anticipating the recoil of that 45 round in a small package. Try sneaking in a snap cap or have someone else load them in your mags intermittently and have them watch you. Or, just do what I like to do.... SHOOT A LOT with a big smile on your face. :D

acasper708 Welcome to the forum and congrates on the cw45.
Cleaner? For light duty cleaning and lube work in general I have used breakfree clp for close to 40 years. And have some time try'n products from Pro- Shot over the last few years too. Like to too. But you look like you have your needs coverd with what you have.
Except for the zep 50. I would leave that to the commercial cleans market . I would not use it on my guns. Kroil oil will get under anything you let build up on or in a firearm. Another product made for the military that is the best bore cleaner out there KG12. IF needed. No degreaser used here on firearms. .
Kroil oil can be used when you really screw up and curd up or lead a barrel in a firearm.
I have 3 kahrs now and keep looking at a cw45. What brand of 1911 mags are you using in your kahr??
These pistols make for some of the best CC choices out there , small to larger all feel just right.
lorenzob Great idea with the snap caps. Lets you see real quick if your trigger control is worth a darn.

Excellent. I would say that you should be good to go with your cw45. I went to the range Monday and ran another 50 through mine. I don't know how many are through mine now. more than 500.
By the way you got a good price on your package deal when you bought your gun.

One locks back when empty but the other doesn't. I think the opening needs to be bent in a little.

There's a good bit of scuffing on the polished finish from the slide. I'm gonna have to touch up a few spots on the slide

As for shooting high and to the left.
First I need new glasses. My current ones are scratched to hell and prescription is off. Then I want to get a night sight for the front. But not the big dot one. I want to see the sight but not have it cover the target. With my glasses now I can just barely focus in the sights.
I've taken the wife shooting a cple times and she really had some fun this time. At first she was over compensating for the recoil and dropping the barrel right before she fired. But eventually she got comfortable and was doing good. It even got her thinkin about gettin a smaller caliber pistol for her!
I was thinking about getting a small 380 anyways for pocket carry!!
