Here is my review on the XDM 3.8, let’s start at the box they give you a holster (not good) and you get a mag holder ( not good) mag loader does work but not the greatest and two mags a 9 round and a 13 round and three palm swells. The palm swells and the mag loader are good the rest is crap. Now to move to the gun, the fit seems to be good a few sharp edges easy enough to take care of. They say match grade, frame, barrel and the slide all have the same serial number maybe that is what they are calling match grade. This is a striker firing system the striker is in full cocked position that gives this a very light pull, a slight take up of free play but once that is done very light trigger pull. Sort of like a 1911 type pull, now on the striker they use a roll pin that goes thru the slide and thru the striker, thought that was odd but this is what they are doing and has a spring in front of the striker, it does have a internal extractor which seems to work very well. Over all if you lay the XDM 3.8 over the Glock 30 you will not see much of a difference if any very slight. Now to the range, it just plane feels good it took alittle getting used to but user friendly. Have to try the different back straps to see what fits the best. Shooting American Eagle 230g 890fps I found the handled the rounds very good not much recoil, as far as hitting what I was aiming at not bad at all. I wished they put on fiber optic front sight like the XDS, I have that on my CM9 and they work great for my old eyes. Now I think I’ll have to get a Dawson fiber front sight for it. I put 150 rounds thru it at the range, 100 American Eagles and 50 reloads (800 fps) and on my last mag I thru in some hollow points. It took every thing I put in it, had one reload had to rerack the slide light primer strike or maybe bad primer. I think maybe I have to up the reloads alittle to higher load seems to like the higher end loads. But over all this gun was a pleasure to shoot and very accurate I am not disappointed that I got this gun, it is abit thicker and more heavy but not bad to carry. If I have the right shirt on I will carry this and if my shirts are alittle tighter I’ll carry my CM9. So on this gun I will give two thumbs up, So for what it is worth this is my experience with this firearm. Sorry if some pictures are out of focus, don’t have a good camera. The other thing is that with the Xdm you can shoot lead thru it if you shoot lead with a Glock you need to get a barrel for it another $150 on top of the gun. Xdm has a better package
