Got the FNX today and its F'N awesome!
Its F'N huge. The case is big enough to hold at least 30 PM9's inside its volume. Its basically an attache made from polymer on the outside, and recycled baby's ass wipes container plastic on the inside.... reeks of plastic.
The grip, for such a huge gun is terribly comfortable. It appears agonizingly huge, compared to a PM45...like Mama Kass is huge compared to Twiggy.
Machine work on all metal is flawless, and no sharp edges anyplace... full melt, and its perfect.
Safety is 3 position, safe, fire and decock. Cock and locked is encouraged.
The frame weights about an ounce more than a PM45 frame, The whole pistol is twice or more the weight of the PM45. Did I say its F'N huge, its F'N colossal.
Barrel is done up in DLC type finish, but is stainless, with a shiny feed ramp. Take down is simple via SIG rotating lever type mechanism.
All writing and logos on the slide and barrel are engraved, not stamped... nice touch, and the engraving is sharp, deep, and detailed. The logo is spectacular. Even the molding of the frame is darn near faultless.... the checkering is deep, but not as aggressive as a PM45 checkering.
Magazines come with an auxiliary walnut nutcracker as a base pad. Its big, its heavy and its solid. There are three magazines that come with each pistol. They're done in a shiny black finish... not black chrome, but it looks like black chrome.
Sights are F'N awesome... the best. HUGE front dot that is really a front oval, but looks round as you raise the pistol to shoot.
The mags drop freely from the butt... no problem. There's a replaceable back strap with an arched palm swell, in case some really huge mitted shooter gets hold of it. I have big hands... cant ever see using the palm swell... jeeze. Its F'N huge, its F'N colossal, its F'N awesome!
The trigger.... is a point of sore subject. The DA pull is about as easy to manipulate as an Arrow squeeze stapler. The DA pull has got to be about 20lbs or even more. To its credit, its glass smooth and breaks well. Suprizingly controllable, and I think it would do in CQB for a first shot if need be.
The SA pull is F'N exquisite. Its not like a SIG or S&W DA/SA pull, where the SA has a bit of easy takeup, then you hit the crisp wall of release. Instead, there is a long takeup with no staging, it just goes off! Its sort of weird, but nice. The pull weight is maybe 2-1/2 lbs of glass smooth movement....not much... then bang. The DA pull also has no stacking at all.
Frame rails are replaceable, a nice touch. The grip and frame texture are F'N perfect.

And, folks don't get me wrong, still carrying the PM45's daily... PM9 on occasion. I love 'em. They are, and will remain my EDC pistols. But, I can see this FNX-45 being a truck and house pistol. Or at least, one of the house pistols.
