Finally acquired my first Kahr a CW40. Got it used of armslist is less than 3 months old included a crimson trace grip and 20 rounds of hollow point. Only paid $400. Pretty sure this was a good deal. Any suggestions for an IWB.

Check out Foxx holster. I've got a "Little Foxx" Hybrid for my CM40. I'm 5'8" 250 lb. and it's very comfortable and accessible. $39 shipping included.

Sounds like you got a good deal on your CW40 especially with the Crimson trace. I would agree with bigdave622 about the Foxx holster, I have one for my Shield & I'm thinking about picking up one for my P380. They are well made, comfortable & affordable & I think they make one to fit your CW with the CT.

That was a nice deal you picked up Blacktopcowboy. I got $380 for my CW45, without a laser. CDDN Sports has some S&W M&P's in .40 (used) for around $400 (very good to excellent) with night sights. Subtract $30 for standard sights. Comes with one 15 round mag.

Old Faithfull has a 40 dollar bolt together IWB kit ether canted or straight up and down depending on where you will carry and it its made for crimson trace too. My girls and there hubby's use there kits and love them.
I use a comp-tac minotaur neutral and carry a cw9 over my front pocket and am very pleased with it but cost is higher. Good to sit or drive and be able to draw with no issues. A am a fat boy too at 5'9" and 235.

JFootin, an old-timer on here would tell you to try out a Stays Put for $14.95. It's actually a pocket carry holster, but he would tell you it works great as an IWB. I took his advice and will tell you the same thing. You could even add a nylon loop like I did and it works even better still IWB.

Welcome to the forum, Blacktopcowboy! Normally, Wyntrout posts a welcome with some very important info, but he must be busy elsewhere. So here is a cut/paste of his thorough recommendations:

Here are a few essential links and things to do BEFORE you take your new pistol to the range, and ESPECIALLY BEFORE taking it apart and trying to re-assemble it! The Kahr is a different design… 6-7 unique patents cover the Kahrs. I’m not trying to imply that you don’t know anything about guns, but many don’t know anything about the Kahrs and some of the things you can do to damage or cause malfunctions of your new, or new-to-you Kahr pistol.

First, if you don’t have a manual, yet, or one didn’t come with your pistol, you can view it and/or download the pdf file here:
http://www.kahr.com/PDF/kahrmanual.pdf

Please watch one of these videos FIRST! These videos can point out possible problem areas and emphasize correct procedures!
Take down and re-assembly videos:

MK series:

K series:

There are many links on fixing problems listed in several places… under the New Member or Kahr Tech sub-forums.

A very handy one is the Kahr Lubrication Diagram:
http://kahrtalk.com/showthread.php?t=14750
Many of your questions can be answered in these areas and you can learn how your Kahr works and not damage it with improper handling.

Another great resource for information on Kahrs... Archives of Magazine and Internet Reviews for Kahr pistols by industry experts. They test these pistols and report on their views and the ammo they tested in it. This is a good way to find ammo that might fit your needs along with accuracy and feeding in the pistol... usually from a rest with velocity and energy, as well as penetration and expansion sometimes... very informational.

Frequently asked questions: http://www.kahr.com/faq.asp?

One very important bit of advice: Hold the Kahr pistol firmly when firing OR CHAMBERING a round. These compact pistols need all of the force they can get from the slide to get a round into the chamber successfully. If you don't hold the pistol firmly, part of the needed momentum is transferred to MOVING THE PISTOL and the top round will DIVE and jam into the right side of the feed ramp. The weak hand, over hand rack method gives the best grip and a firm rack will give you the best chance at chambering a round.

Use the weak hand fingers over the slide(clear of the ejection port), thumb along the slide and pointing to the rear. Use the gun hand to simultaneously firmly push the gun as you give a vigorous rack with the weak hand and cleanly release the slide as it reaches the rear limit and is "snatched" from the weak hand. This approximates a real rack from firing and beats the slide release method WHEN executed properly. Much more strength can be exerted when this is done closer to the body.

Here's a video on that. The first part is what I'm talking about:

There are many helpful members here most of the time who might be able to help you, but as anywhere, there are many opinions and not all are correct. Be mindful of this before doing anything drastic to modify your pistol!

The best holster I have found for forget-it-is-there comfort 24/7 with my CM9 is the PJ IWB Holster (http://pjholster.com/?page_id=37). There are so, so many members here that will concur. Paul is a great guy and a real gun lover, and he performs magic with kydex - making the holster incredibly comfortable to where you can't tell it is there whether sitting, standing or moving about. It is like the mass of the gun disappears, becoming one with your body. I carry mine with a 15° cant just behind my hip - the sweet spot. I prefer the one linked above with the over the belt clip. I normally wear the above under a loose shirt.

For the pocket, I have tried leather, kydex and nylon holsters and I like the Stays-Put Ultra Pocket Holster (http://www.concealmentspecialties.com/products.html) the best. It is made of specially treated microfiber with a slick nylon liner for a smooth draw. And it STAYS PUT just like the name implies!

I'll tell you something else great about the Stays-Put holster: it works wonderfully in the appendix carry position. I have 3 of them for my CM9, my J frame and my TCP 380, and they all ride comfortably all day long in the 10:00-11:00 position (I'm a lefty). And as long as you use a good belt that is cinched up snugly, they STAY PUT! I carry mine riding low with a reverse cant and the front edge of the grip partially tucked to keep it snugged in close to my body. The gun stays put, yet it is effortless to draw. And even though the holster is soft, I can easily reholster the gun one handed.

I have a middle aged spread, so my belly expands above the gun making an untucked shirt or T-shirt drape over it without printing. Sometimes, though, I'll mount my cell phone in a case on my belt just behind the gun grip so that it is the only thing that will print no matter what. I can easily retrieve my phone without revealing the gun. It is a normal place for a cell phone case to be and it frees up a pocket.

All that usefulness in a $15 holster! And it is well made and durable! :)

That was quite a good deal from the looks of it. Especially if you can find someone local to you, so that you don't have to go through all the extra FFL stuff at both ends.

I think you got a pretty fair deal there Acasper708, with the holster, and mag pouch and extra mags. Plus you probably saved the 200 rounds needed for break-in. Although I feel the need to have at least 200 trouble free rounds go through a semi before I consider it carry worthy. I usually shoot around 150 rounds of hardball, then try a few mags of my carry ammo, just to make sure it functions well with that.

I'm not real happy with the mags. They work but a couple times the slide didn't lock back on last round. Also I had one FTF cause of the mag. The live round somehow shot up out of mag and jammed stickin out the ejection port.
The gun cycled perfectly with the stock mag though.
